GOOD MORNING BELLES!!

Still no word from my wayward son. I know he got back fine though & that's all that matters. I also know that it's 90 there, compared to 34 here. I think we'd both be happier with 65 or so.;^)

My theater group is done for the year so I have my Tuesdays free. Today's plans include making a crock pot chili, putting a dent in Mt. Laundry, and paying some bills;and then a few late piano lessons and choir practice.

God morning, Chair. Thanks for getting us started.

President Bush has ordered an investigation into whether gas prices have been illegally manipulated in recent weeks.

We do NOT need another investigation. [FWIW those type investigations have been woefully inaccurate.] What we need is more refineries operating in THIS country, more and new drilling and OPEN THE ANWR FOR DRILLING. This is laise faire capitalism and the market is driving the price.

Good morning, Mr. Chairman. On the commute in this morning, I was listening to the DC classical music station and one of the news reports talked about the movie, Flight 93. The news babe and the show host started piously proclaiming how tasteless it was to make a movie about such a disturbing subject and how they couldn't bring themselves to watch it and were offended that the trailer was being broadcast on "their TV".

Translated, they were saying that they didn't want to be reminded about the fact that Middle Eastern Males under the influence of Islam committed these attrocities and there isn't any way that they can blame Bush, and they just want it to go away and leave them in their own, personal, liberal euphoria!

All of a sudden, I had a craving for Country Western music, and switched channels.

If you're like me, you won't understand all the geek that is spoken but you'll get the gist of the warning that people up to no good are getting more and more sophisticated in how they scam the unsuspecting through email.
