AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1919) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | April 24, 2006 | All of Us

Posted on 04/24/2006 4:55:31 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

I'm back. Nice, quiet time along the beach, but way too short. Kids were picked up from the airport last night, and they look like they've been to Florida, complete with the requisite sunburn (not too bad, either of them).

In the news...

The Evil One is promising a long war with the United States and has, in his latest video tape, promised to make war upon civilians. He has also called upon his supporters to combat the UN "peacekeeping" force located in the Sudan.

The Evil One's logic for attacking civilians is that the civilians are supporting their governments' new Crusades upon the Mid-East.

Oil prices are easing back from their recent highs of $75/bbl.

Meanwhile, both Senate Majority Leader Frist and Speaker Hastert are engaging in a major cover thy six and blame someone else because it wasn't my fault game. Both leaders are blasting the President for not doing enough about high gasoline prices--well, Congress, where's the drilling in ANWR? Where's the additional refining capacity allowance?

And the daughter of the founder of Earth Day says gas prices are not nearly high enough (she doesn't say what "high enough" is).

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Oh my lysie. Well, it's not winter, so maybe it won't be too bad an attack. Continue the cold-eze, take 2 cookies, and call me in the morning...:-)

I agree with what you have said about the movie, Guennie.

Hubby was surprised when I said the other day that I wanted to see it and regretted that an out of town trip will prevent our going on opening weekend. He said he wasn't sure he wanted to see it.

I told him that it wasn't that I want to see it but that I think it's important that we support movies like that to send a message to Hollywood. We will attend movies that are well-done and won't bother with the usual garbage that they produce. Hubby said he was dubious but that he would go if I felt that strongly about it.

LOL

I just took Airborne and Oscillococcinum because it feels like more than a cold.

Dang.

I'll be fine, though. I caught it early.

I need to take echinacea, too.

Yes. My aunt who is well read on natural meds/vitamins, herbs, etc. recommended it. It works even though it may be all in my head. LOL

Howdy All....

Guenie, I'm so glad to hear you don't chase squirrels too. Today we did a bit over a mile, Beanie of course outdid me by at least 4 miles. Squirrels.

How many different types of additives are added to the gas in the various areas of our country? I agree Miss M, our President needs to get on PRIME TIME tv and tell the folks just why our gas prices are so high and he is taking this or that opportunity to cut the boutique additives. Who really cares if these additives protect the lives of those cute little three toes pink spotted salamenders? I don't.

My garden. I didn't know squash and melons pop out of their little peat pots so quickly. Wow, I put the seeds in warm peat pots, a couple or 3 days ago, just like the instructions said, and today the little buggers have popped out of the "ground" and are growing. My Mr America tomato plant has just jumped up about 8 inches and has little flowers on it. My "lemon cucumter" had one of it's tenicles around a branch of my Mr. America tomato plant, so I disengaged it and wound it around a fence link, so it would know which way it's supposed to grow. My purpless cucumber is still a little slow, maybe it will catch up. I think I have a couple of potatoes poking their leaves out of the ground, but I really don't know what their leaves look like, when they're new. I need to replant three bush bean seeds, as something has eaten the leaves off and even ate the stem right down to the earth of one. I guess I need to spray them with tobacco and cheyenne pepper juice. The radishes have gone crazy, their leaves are all over their area, but I don't see any radish bumps yet. I planted some lettuce seeds, then read what I'd mixed, I did a bib lettuce and ruffled lettuce together, then I spread ruby ruffle seeds in there too, we'll see what happens. Always read the directions before spreading seeds, I guess. So ends my garden saga for today. Tomorrow will be another exciting day watching things grow.

I agree lysie, as soon as the Republicans point our oil problems toward the party on the left, including some left-leaning rino members, the other party will turn like a "wounded elephant" and tramp all over our "leaders" on the right, denying the truth and say it's the right's fault. Our "leaders" will turn tail and whimper off into a corner and not say one word again about the left's constant twisting of the truth.

I just saw a book out about Saudi's using money made from oil we purchase to buy our elected officials, on both sides, beaurocrats, certain press people and even business people, to keep us from opening new oil fields and building new refineries. I'm going to get it. I saw on msnbc, of all places, where Canada is harvesting their schale to get oil from it. They are going gang busters. Though we have it too, our unelected envirowackos, will not allow us to do it. They are afraid we will dirty the environment.

Yes, Carolinamom, the methane they expell as they expound the causes of global warming, really comes from them.

And not cutting the grass, during the height of the dry season, the dry grass can catch fire and burn down your house, we've seen it here in TX.

I'm surprised Steve would say he wouldn't see the movie, but ED? This is one of the problems I have with tv, some of the "reporters and reporteretts" have mouth in gear and mind in neutral when they voice an opinion. They are there to report, not offer opinions, at least that's what I thought. I hope Mr. Beamer didn't hear their statements.
