I'm probably going to start paying more attention to the story. I tend to avoid the crime-of-the-week Greta stories which is what I thought this was at first, but a corrupt DA willing to sacrifice three kids for reelection is worth paying attention to.

"aspirin and coffee."

Years ago we used to belong to a neighborhood card club.

We were hosting one night and as people were leaving (around 11:00 PM) we stood at the front door visiting prior to our guest's departure

Suddenly one of the men asked me for "an aspring and a cup of coffee" for his wife. She looked at him rather strange and I headed to the kitchen for the coffee.

He stopped me and explained it was a joke. He didn't want her to have a headache or be 'too tired' when they got home.

So when I saw your aspirin and coffee comment, I immediately wondered what YOU have on your agenda for today :>)

has resulted in even the other attorneys for the unindicted team members joining together to fight this injustice

Well I'm glad to read that and they'd darned well better start drawing the line somewhere. The legal profession is quickly losing as much credibility as the media and is becoming at minimum a national joke.

Shenanigans like this are a danger to society. But then so is letting criminal behavior skate such as Berger.

Good morning and thanks for the thread.

AW that's a shame Granny. I've never seen a white bleeding heart. Where I come from the red ones are wild and grow everywhere until people come and cultivate, then they too are gone. I'm going to try and grow some under my trees. Hopefully the hot summers don't do them in.

The white bleeding hearts I have lost had 'fern leaves'. I don't know if the fern leaved pink ones are more tender than the Old Fashioned ones, or not. But I think I'm going to quit wasting my money on White Ones.

Interesting that they grow wild for you. Mine die back completely by July 1, but come back each spring (except, of course, the White).

Do you suppose you could grow them in dappled shade in the Hotter climates? Mine is on the East side of the house, in the sun until shortly after 1:00 pm, so it has protection during the heat of the day.

I have been outside moving stuff around,... daisies, purple coneflowers, hardy Salvia, tall Phlox. I believe it is time to stir something up for dessert. It takes a lot of carbs to keep the planting crew going.

Ohio is losing residents at a faster and faster rate, the local paper reports.

What a coincidence! Arizona Republic reports today that Phoenix/Scottsdale/Tempe area is getting more newcomers from the Midwest now than from California.

Iowa's population is shrinking also. We will loose a Congressman after the next redistricting.
