And now for tonight’s Dinklemeyer:

Image hosting by Photobucket
This is continuing the “Deathball” story, where our hero is being forced in gym class to play a horrifying game (based on my own Middle School experiences…hardly an exaggeration).

But actually, this individual strip represents something important: the lines are getting darker. After a while of practicing, my artistic abilities were gradually getting better. Here, we see the contrast is greater and the strip is a little easier to look at.

Be sure to show up Friday, because then we’re going to meet the third major character to be introduced and become a character. And you definitely won’t want to miss that.

Yes, the roles are reversed tonight. Hoodlum is usually 50th and you are usually one of the firsts.

She may still be here, if you're lucky.

Really? I at one time agreed about their humanitarian efforts but haven't given it much thought.

Some of their peace-keeping units are less expensive than US national guard, army, etc. and US spending for some of them has gone up, even under Bush. In terms of humanitarian aid, the UN is a laughing joke. The majority of their budget is paid to wages, not to actual 'charity'. (IMHO, charities should never be govt run) I have read that in some cases, only $.06 on the dollar makes it to the actual charity. Not only is the UN beaurecratic beyond belief, but there is no accountability what-so-ever within the group. As such, I looooove the headlines stating 'UN running low on funds' etc.

In terms of corruption, 'Oil for Food' was the tip of the ice berg. The UN as a whole is a melting pot for dictators, communists, terrorists, and tyrants. Alger Hiss (American) was one of the first secretary generals of the UN and there during the foundation of the group. He was also a known communist.

Do some google searches on the Human 'Rights' Commission and look at the member states (Sudan, Cuba, China.....). I think that Israel has 100+ human rights violations through the UN, whereas other middle-Eastern countries have next to none.

Maurice Strong is another fun one to learn about, especially his role in the UN (Oil for Food, global socialism, Architect of Kyoto). I yearn for the day that the US is out of the UN. Personally, I would love to see the UN HQ turned into the world's largest Super Wal Mart. Legislation has been introduced to congress, which says that if some reform is not made, they won't get paid. I don't know if it has been voted on yet. Japan has made similar claims.
