My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

I sit
and ponder life
wondering
amid my worshiping
and the songs of revelation
glad for those of faith
sad for those without
worried for those unsure
and aching
for the sad state of my own heart
Faith
the only coin
even for a tattered soul
like mine
the single test and ticket home
In the end, the final judgment is your faith

Lovely poem. A time reflection and humility.
Turn the page
another day
we wake, we breathe
thanks be to God
I'm here.
Have I made a difference
for one
I don't know that
and maybe never will
the important thing is
did I use the day well.

What a great poem. I really like the dialect. Puts Peli right there with the salt air. For some amusement, have you ever gotten a pirate name for yourself? If not, here's a link.

It's nice and cool here today, Ms Feather, after an unseasonable high in the lower 80's yesterday. Appears we will get some more major t-storms which means my DSL will not work. This is why my posting has been sporatic the last few days.

We are due for some rain. It's not cold but gloomy, no sun. We have had warmer temps so I can appreciate that.

My pirate name is: Bloody Mary Rackham ARRRRRRR!!

Every pirate lives for something different. For some, it's the open sea. For others (the masochists), it's the food. For you, it's definitely the fighting. You have the good fortune of having a good name, since Rackham (pronounced RACKem, not rack-ham) is one of the coolest sounding surnames for a pirate. Arr!
Get your own pirate name from fidius.org.

My pirate name is:
Captain Mary Bonney
Even though there's no legal rank on a pirate ship,
everyone recognizes you're the one in charge.
You can be a little bit unpredictable, but a
pirate's life is far from full of certainties,
so that fits in pretty well. Arr!

I enjoy the pirate name thingy. I did a Pirate theme for another thread last year, what fun.
