And now for tonight’s Dinklemeyer toon.
This cartoon is a show of the strip’s early days. I hadn’t fully created the world I wanted to yet, so I had to experiment with new ideas. In this one, I introduced Karen, a hot popular girl whom Freddy has a crush on. But he is too afraid to talk to her, and she does not notice him at all.
This showed something I haven’t tried much in my FReeptoons: drawing attractive women is an interesting challenge for an artist (especially a cartoonist). It’s something that I always like to try. Drawing a babe is a challenge because it has to be absolutely perfect: one thing wrong or misdrawn, and the whole drawing looks awful and deformed. It’s a very precise thing to do.
Unfortunately, while it was a good idea on paper, it never really came together right. Karen makes one other appearance later on, and then she vanishes from the strip forever. Despite the promise it showed, I just couldn’t think of anything to do with the idea. This is not the first time that will happen.

It goes so far beyond a nice word like 'issues'... The whole religion is just creepy. The men dress like they do so that Allah will recognize them when he returns. Apparently, if you tuck in your shirt, he'll think you're an infidel. So much for all-knowing...
What, Allah's returning? He's coming back? Here? To Earth? I'll untuck my shirt real quick.
I think allah stands at the gates of hell! Quite a salesman, that guy. Mohammed was just a tool...a vessel...a willing subject. Mohammed was lead around by "little elvis."
Man...if I could only be as popular as that stupid Chrissy thread.
LOL sounds about right. Considering the type of questions that kennedy and turbin durbin have been asking him. Loved seeing ted kennedy go insane as in the second picture. :) Readinglt he dnkmerye cartoons now.

It's been a slow night really, aside from the Islam conversations.
I can easily identify with the Dinkmerer cartoon. It is how shy I am too lol.
Yep :) I am a little lateer than usual but made it in.
I had to include subtitles with that one, because it was badly smudged for some reason.
The singles thread is up and roaring along, but this one is kind of bleh. Tuesday was a huge hit, though.

It's the one above this one in "General/chat." It's gotten well over a thousand views, while I'm struggling to get this one above 200.
I am sorry. Yeah I have been taking a break from the singles thrad personally. But if you need assistance I will go there.
Well, between you and me, I'm kind of taking a break from them to. As usual, I just can't get into it like I used to.
Well, if you really want to rake in the posts, we could talk about breastfeeding... ;-)
