AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1788) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | December 13, 2005 | All of Us

Posted on 12/13/2005 6:29:26 PM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good evening!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

The pummeling that movie theaters took in 2005 is sending crisis shock waves through Hollywild. Hint, guys, maybe a few less gay, lesbian, and transgender movies, and some more of what average America might like because, well, you're not reaching average America!

Before his trial, former Enron CEO Ken Lay has announced to the media that he was a victim of "a wave of terror" from prosecutors.

And Grey Lines is now offering a "New Orleans, Katrina--America's Worst Disaster" tour.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Here in Utah, the ACLU has filed suit to take down 12 crosses that mark the spot where policemen or highway patrolman have been killed. The crosses are on public property (side of the road.) The ACLU contends that the crosses denote approval by the state of Utah. Everyone is outraged here.

We need to find a way to find the ACLU unconstituional. Or maybe waterboard interrogations?

Hi Molly - I loved that Iraqi voter, Betty, also. When she said that I just said out loud "YES!!!" These people get it. It's wonderful.

It's good you don't have to go out and drive in the ice. We finished our cards today and all the baking and the house smells so good. Wish we could bottle that!

Outrageous. Arlington Cemetery is public land too and there are row on row of crosses THERE. Policemen, like the military, put their lives on the line to protect the PUBLIC.

Nothing is falling right now, but it's 31 degrees and bound to be lower during the night. The roads around here have already been salted.

I just put on a crock pot of stew meat, the freezer and pantry are well-stocked, and I have all those necessities that people rush to grocery stores to get...so I'm fine...phones (landline and cell), music, TV, radio, computer, good book to read, etc.

Take care yourself. You've done a lot, and now it's time for you and Mr. Peach to enjoy the season.

We are pretty pooped out. Later this week I want to make a stew in the crockpot. When I make it, I do the potatoes on the stove so they don't soak up the juices of the meat. Do you put carrots in yours?

I sometimes use carrots, but not often....no one but me in the family really likes them. When I steam broccoli and cauliflower to serve together w/a separate bowl of cheese sauce to put over them, I put in sliced carrots for color...and for me.

You see, one son likes cauliflower best, and the other likes broccoli, so I have both w/cheese sauce and everybody's happy to spoon out his favorite.

I really like mixed up vegetables too but know a lot of people who like their foods "separated".

Listening to JC Watts on CNN a few minutes ago; I really like him but he didn't have any of the talking points down and let Wolf get away with saying that the administration either lied or was misled about WMD (they MAY be in Syria but no one makes THAT point) and the administration was wrong because there was no prior relationship between Iraq/AQ. Aaargh!

I hear the Rats get away with this every single day.

Glad you have good books to get you through the storm, CM. That when I love a storm - good books and we don't have to leave the house!

I'd better do a quick cruise around FR and then get busy in the kitchen.

We should get hold of their by-laws, it is very communist, and I've heard, goes so far as, "overthrowing" the government of the United States. I've not read it, I've only heard about it. You know, we had 2 individuals who lived in our Whitehouse who belonged to the ACLU, but not the ABA, when they were campaigning for the presidency, I won't mention their names because it may cause everyone to BARF.

Did anyone else read "they" spent their "30th wedding anniversary" at a fund raiser? Money, money is their god.
There was not a mention of their daughter, that I saw..hmmm

Some of you have had some rather severe storms today, and this new event: TWC talking about ice across some of the south. They're calling ours a "wintry mix"...

Hi, I wouldn't call it a 'wintry mix,' I'd call it something I couldn't post here! and, yes, I still hate winter! Went in this AM at 6 and just got here. Did I mention I love overtime? But the downside is it cuts into my valuable drinking FReeping time... ;)

NY, agree on the .45 Auto as one of the best. Ever see Colt's .45/.22 conversion unit? Replaces the top half of the .45 and fires the .22LR. Cheap, and gives the recoil effect of the big cartridge. Bought one at the gunshop I worked at back in the day, the mid-'70's for $35 new, now they are over $300 for a real nice used one, and extra original mags go for $80+! Owch! Service was a nice touch!

In the 50's here with winds making it in the low 40's. I went out and got a wheelbarrow full of firewood and getting ready. I love my fireplace and when I get in my 'shack in the back' I will have my wood burring box stove.

Fun stuff from ye olde inbox...

"It is significant that the ACLU's position is that pornography is protected under the Constitution, while the Christmas tree is not. So, if this bunch were successful, the only way you could see a Christmas tree is if you visit a porn shop that had one." —Jackie Mason and Raoul Felder

"Top Signs You've Hired A Bad Department Store Santa":

Fluffy white beard is heavily soiled with chaw stains;
Lectures each child on the wonders of Scientology;
There's always two or three elves on defibrillator duty;
Tries to snort the fake snow;
The suit is more orange and reads "Auburn Correctional Facility";
Every night he walks out with a sack full of Ipods;
Instead of saying, "ho, ho, ho," keeps mumbling something about "Jihad";
Tells every kid climbing on his lap, "Careful of Santa's flask";
Because of earlier incident, can't go within 50 feet of Victoria's Secret salesgirl.

The White House announced they sent out 1.4 million Christmas cards this year. When Bill Clinton was president, he sent out twice that number of cards. Of course, that was for Valentine's Day.

Al Sharpton is getting his own show on CBS. I believe it's called "The Amazing Race Card."

The big controversy this year is about calling Christmas trees holiday trees and trying to take religion out of the holidays. I was watching one of these cable news shows about this and they had on an atheist who said they were against "organized" religion. And while they were talking, they had on the screen the name of the atheist organization. So they were against organized religion but organized atheism is apparently ok...

Still misting here. The snow will have a thick layer of ice on it when it's over.

I have completed my big project and transmitted it off into cyberspace.

What a relief. Do you think I should do the breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes NOW, or should I just wait until tomorrow?

I spent the entire day polishing up this report. And I'm so glad it's done.

Hi, nothing like a department store Santa to liven things up a bit!

Take them outside. Hide them in a snow bank and then you won't have to do them until the spring thaw.
