AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1788) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | December 13, 2005 | All of Us

Posted on 12/13/2005 6:29:26 PM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good evening!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

The pummeling that movie theaters took in 2005 is sending crisis shock waves through Hollywild. Hint, guys, maybe a few less gay, lesbian, and transgender movies, and some more of what average America might like because, well, you're not reaching average America!

Before his trial, former Enron CEO Ken Lay has announced to the media that he was a victim of "a wave of terror" from prosecutors.

And Grey Lines is now offering a "New Orleans, Katrina--America's Worst Disaster" tour.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

My next entry is an off colored post and I apologize in advance if I'm about to offend you. If you're easily offended perhaps you should close your eyes and skip it.

Fair Warning

And that's the only way the Dutch will agree to send any military

It makes sense, though. If I was going to the Middle East, I would want the U.S. Military protecting me, too.

I recall my Grandmother speaking about a child with ear infection and how the mother put warm urine in the child's ear for relief.

I would have NEVER admitted to having an ear ache after I head Grandma tell that story.

(In my mind I saw an old woman squatting over a child laying on it's side. I never could figure out HOW she got the pee in the kid's ear)

As an adult, I now understand about collecting urine samples in a cup, but as a kid I had NO IDEA.

A vivid imagination is a horrible thing when you're a child.

Hi Mozie - another interesting email from Ev - thank you. From what he says, does this mean he is still in Kuwait or can't you say? Interesting about Safwan - I didn't know that but then we Catholics aren't real Bible knowledgeable.

Did you get SNOW Mozie? We got 4-5 inches of heavy wet stuff - on the trees, everywhere - it is a virtual winter wonderland. You'd love it!

Hi Toby - you said just how I feel about all the people who post at ATRW. I too have pictures in my mind of what they look like, how they live, etc. I'm even able to know who has posted something before I get to the bottom where there name is just by their style of "speaking". It would really be wonderful to meet them all some day but in the meantime, this thread is the next best thing. It reminds me of reading books versus watching TV. You get to use your imagination.

Take care, Toby - I love your posts and have a visual of you in my mind.

Luckily, my family wasn't "into" the warm urine thing, LOL! But that reminded me that for earaches, we sometimes got warmed olive oil put in our ears, then cleaned out.

If I read a book and then see the movie made from it, I'm always disappointed.........the casting is NOT what I imagined they looked like and they left out too much of the story!

If I see the movie before I've read the book, I like the book better because I get to cast the characters "better". Exception: Gone With the Wind.....perfect casting and some, but not tooooooooo much left out.

i've heard the urine treatment and I've also been told urine is sterile as it leaves the body. I don't know about that. I haven't tried it and don't plan on it.

Jungle medicine has some unusual treatments. They believe that packing a jungle ulcer with sugar crystals, i.e. table sugar, will heal it. I've done that and it does help.

But the most unusual I've heard about is the treatment for pink eye. Wash the eye as often as posible with the direct application of mother's milk. Wash it continuously as possible. The challenge is finding a willing donor.

Just for the record:

I believe the reason the RATS (Dingy Harry Reid) had his temper tantrum before the President's speech is because they know the TV is turned off directly after the speech.

It didn't help their ratings as far as I was concerned. I can tune 'em out before as well as after. I can work my mute button!

Cornered rats are dangerous. Not only are these human rats angry and jealous of President Bush, they know imo in their heart of hearts that he will go down in history as the only American President to have changed the infrstructure of the Middle East and brought freedom and democracy to that part of the world. President Bush doesn't have to hunt for a legacy; it has found HIM.

Yes - on books versus movies. I too prefer to use my imagination as to what the characters are like and they do leave out parts that to me are important. I think this comes from reading before ever having TV or going to movies much. I am in my 60's so remember a time when there was no tv. Also loved the radio programs especially on Sat. mornings "Let's Pretend".

"Let's Pretend".....my FAVORITE Saturday morning radio program! Many people I know have said the same thing about its being theirs as well. 8)

Not having TV was a very good way for children to develop their imaginations....not be spoonfed.

Oh my...

I can't get enough of that Iraqi voter, Betty, saying: "Anyone who doesn't appreciate what America's done, what President Booosh has done, can go to Hell!"

Terrific 10sec. soundbite which I wish could be played continuously for ReidBidenKennedyDean...Talk about Torture!!

Stay safe in the weather out there, everybody. It's 36 degrees here, cloudy and feels like snow is in the air.

We're having a pork roast tonight for a dinner party and I've been over-sampling the pepper jelly that I serve with it :-)

One of the cook's perogatives is to taste!

It's gray and cold here, and the weatherman is positive that we will be getting ice tonight and tomorrow.

I'll be at home, safe, warm, and drinking coffee while I put the crock pot on to do the cooking. LOL
