New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |

Still round the corner there may wait |

Home is behind, the world ahead, |
There is some consideration given to the thought that "manna" was actually "mushrooms."
Perhaps giving explanation to the fact that it took the Israelites 40 years to get out of the desert.
It's a PC support job involving both regular support and possibly some basic documentation for (I *think*) getting into a new database they'll be implementing over the next six months. It's a temporary position, just for the transition period, but there's always a chance...
It's in the next town south, but that's only twenty minutes away, depending on traffic, and the pay isn't bad.
On the other hand, I think the guy who makes the decision really *wants* someone who is not only a customer service oriented kinda PC person, but also someone who's fluent with Visual Basic and I can't remember what-all-else. Now...granted, at the salary they're offering, they may not attract anyone like that, but if they do, I'm way out of the running. Also, it may mean that the interview won't be very friendly, and if that's the case, I don't want the job.
Ya know...'round here, pulled posts freak us out a lot more than incomplete posts do...
*sigh*
Anything to do with the Drudge headline about the Federalist Society?
I've got this recipe that's got cream cheese in it...comes out kinda like cheesecake only more pumpkin than cheese. I like it because it doesn't sog the crust up after you cut it.
Could be. I wuz werking and not paying that close attention. He mentioned he wanted to get to an article written by someone from North Carolina (ears perked up), a John Armour (that's Congressman BillyBob!) Think he said something about Madison and Federalist Papers, but I wuz cussinging out my report format at the time.
Every year the hospital where my Dad works sells pumpkin cheesecake squares as a fundraiser for something...maybe for the local foodbank? Cain't recall.
Really awesome. It's like pumpkin pie only far more intense.
For that reason, when I was fairly young, my family dubbed it "archived pumpkin pie", as we were new to computers and some of us found the concept of archiving files by compressing 'em (zipping 'em, but I don't remember anyone using that terminology then) to be really interesting.
"cussing", even.
I met the good Congressman back in the 80s when I worked in DC.
mmmmmm....pumpkin...
This year I live near Starbucks, too...
I'm gonna hafta try one of those punkin latte thingies just once.
Sorry! I had a highly overdeveloped gag reflex until I was seven or eight. I still just can't bear the thought of eating certain textures - cheesecake, mousse, yogurt - really anything that can't decide if it's solid food or not. I hope I never spend an extended period in the hospital, I'd die from starvation.
He's been at FReeper functions in Raleigh. Had lunch with him (along with other FReepers) at one of our Support the Troop rallies in Raleigh.
I'm sorry
I'm just trying to save you all some bandwith or whatever you call it :o)
Thanks, I'm gonna have to check that out :o)
Sounds great, 2J!
Nothing says you can't have TWO pies!
Nope! I have nothing against it either, except for having to eat two pies ;-)
One post doesn't affect bandwidth...I wouldn't worry about stuff like that.
