Good evening! How are you? Did you see my blog?
We're doin' motor stuff...
I wish I had 'em now but I didn't think about it soon enough.
Sigh...
Well, I'll set them to soak tonight. I don't mind using the slow cooker to cook during the day, but if my house is gonna catch on fire from a slow cooker, I'd just soon either be awake or out of the house when it does it. I never did like the idea of going to bed with the slow cooker cooking. Or even the dishwasher going (with the heater unit inside that dries the dishes, you know?) My dryer used to shut off automatically, but I still wouldn't go to bed with it going.
I'm a white-knuckler and proud of it!
I need to work on my bean collection, but I don't have a bag of pintos already open. Guess I could do red beans & rice....or black beans & rice....
You know, pinto beans are just so verstile. You can eat a taco with 'em, dump 'em on your eggs, dip some cornbread in 'em...
I'm thinking of making a big ol' batch...a VAT if you will and freezing them in baggies.
Wonder if they freeze well?
Dunno...I keep 'em dried until I want to cook up a batch.
I gotta go...Steve's gonna be coming in any minute.
See you all later!
I just went over and checked out your blog... hey... looks like its really coming along... or at least apart... :-)
I just hope it's not one of those things where everything comes out easily but then it doesn't quite fit back in.
Good evening. Back from choir. What's happening?
Well, I'll set them to soak tonight.
I read the two posts quickly, and the first thing that crossed my mind was you were soaking the piston rings in the sink. :)
Just getting settled in da hotel. Not too happy with it... they gave me a nonsmoking room (grrrr) and don't have anyplace to move me. The place is also pretty well torn up for renovations in the lobby, so the restaurant and the bar are crammed into a little corner. Will call around in the morning and maybe check into somewhere else.
Yeesh. Its gonna be a long week.
I'm surprised that smoking is allowed anywhere in San Francisco. Sorry you're stuck at a lousy place. But at least they have internet - that's good, right?
The Beetles sound really cute. I know the girls are gonna like them, especially since they're like their Aunt 2J's car!
Its actually not allowed in any buildings, except homes and designated hotel rooms. Its really kinda funny... the smoking rooms are all on one floor, and when you get off the elevator there is a big sign warning people that they may be exposed to second hand smoke by being on that floor.
Almost all buildings have signs on the front door saying "Chemicals known to the state of CA to potentially cause cancer exist on these premises."
They've defined "potential cause" down so low that just about every substance is on the list (I think laser toner is one of them) and therefore the signs must be on every building. There are, therefore, useless.
Its sorta like earth here, only sillier.
It's like if you woke up one day in a Douglas Adams novel?
hehe... something like that...
I came out as a Bracco Italiano (Italian setter). "Good-natured, intelligent, docile yet powerful. Ideal combination of family dog and working dog".
I think I have to tweak those "5 best descriptions" a bit.
California's answer to Lysenkoism. The rules of science are ammended by California politicians and bureaucrats. "California knows better".
(Devoted family member despite an independent streak. Heh)
Hehehe...I'm a stubborn, devoted one-person dog who ignores everbybody else....and loves to chase squirrels.
