Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Though we pass them by today...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Good morning!
We have snow. Five or six inches. It's still snowing, but only very lightly. I think we've got about all we're gonna get. But it's purty!
Too bad it's supposed to rain in a few days...
Get to go to the jam tonight for the first time in a LONG time. I'm looking forward to it!

Good morning! All sortsa news in the kennel bill fundraising thread! Woke up to a couple of nice emails.
Got another new address for Andy...freepmail me is you wants it. His dad is going home...
Andy is classified an "outpatient" now! Seems like since they took that leg his health just really improved quickly. He's 21 years old and made a wise decision, I think.

Saw the trailer on the bigscreen last week when I saw The Aviator.
The story and landscape cinematography made it look like a winner, but the dialoge and "crusade" aspect appear to have been PC'd.

Whoa! That movie sounds very interesting! I wonder who's doing the score? I'm surprised we haven't heard any grumbling about this from CAIR, it being about the Crusades, and all.

We got about 8 inches of snow yesterday before the sleet and freezing rain beat it down a couple of inches. We're supposed to get another 2-4 inches tomorrow! Gotta bring in some more firewood!

Alkhin, re Star Wars: Look around for toy auctions or comic book auctions. I've got my original G.I.Joes that I keep thinking about selling. But you're right. Not on eBay.

Mmmm...firewood.
That was one of the great things about hanging out at the house during the holidays...just sitting back watching the fire.

Let's see... did you know there are at least four used bookstore in Fort Collins? One devoted entirely to mysteries?
I have to pack today and ship some stuff back. Not fun :-(
