Don Miller Stroud ... one of the finest ways in which God has blessed America. Here but briefly, but in Glory forever. May our Heavenly Father give to your family the peace and comfort that this American Hero has given to us. My tearful condolences to you and yours.

God Bless him.

We're losing so many great men, these WWII vets. My grampa was one of them. A D-Day vet. We lost him on Oct 22nd.

Since my profession is physical therapy, I often have the great fortune of working with WWII vets. I love to hear their stories of how it was. A friend of mine once told me, "You have a great profession, but you have to work with OLD people a lot."

I told him, I GET to work with old people. Those people have lived more life and seen more things than you and I put together. It's a PRIVILEDGE to work with them, especially the vets." I love to hear their war stories about how things really were back then.

I am sure that you have enjoyed hours and hours of memories with your brother-in-law and are better for it. I feel for your loss; just remember he's in a better place now, probably talking over old times with the vets who passed before him.

Thank you, God, for great heroes like Don Shroud. Hold his family close. And Lord, please help all of our young men today to grow up to be courageous warriors, fighting for that which is right. Help us not to forget the examples of these brave men.

Please accept our family's heartfelt condolence. He'll meet my Dad, who passed away four days before him, in heaven. God bless them all for all they gave.
