We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
American forces now control 80% of Fallujah. The remaining terrorists are now cornered.

Final election vote tally:
Bush = 60,480,193
Outgoing AG Ashcroft commented that there are certain judges in America which threaten National Security by ruling contradictory to the President's obligations under international treaties and agreements. Specifically, Ashcroft condemned a judge's ruling that the President's decision that Al Qa'eda members were exempt from the Geneva Conventions was wrong.
The ACLU, naturally, disagreed with Ashcroft.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
So today we bought bedroom furniture and a mattress set. Boychild had a twin bed so putting his furniture back in there is not a possibility. We got a queen-sized bed so now daughter-child is going to be jealous. The one in the room they use is a double bed. We will end up replacing it but will have to wait a bit on that.
Now if we could just get our logo up on the FR front page...
:)
Police said the bill's phoniness should have been obvious for other reasons. It had a silly serial number DUBYA4U2001 and didn't bear the signature of the Secretary of the Treasurer. Instead, it was "signed" by Ronald Reagan, whose title was "Political Mentor" and by Bush's father, who is listed as "Campaign Advisor and Mentor."
For what it's worth, I'm more of a realist than an optimist, but I've seen the supply side theory at work several times and am convinced it works.
Also forgot to say that your Red State/Blue State favoritism in athletic competitions isn't going to work very often,, especially in the Big Ten (11 or is it 12?),, the folks in Happy Vally have been in a funk anyway,, your theory will blow them to bits.
In fact, I think we should have SEVERAL carols for this festive holiday season.
If I get some time next week, I might try to do a few. Deck the Halls, Winter Wonderland, and Up On the Housetop are ones that would work quite well.
I really don't want to parody the sacred carols, as I feel it would not be appropriate. But there are plenty of non-religious carols to work with.
Maybe ATRW could come up with a carol book which we could debut on the main forum riight after Thanksgiving!
Do you remember the one entitled: "Don't Care Who You are Old Fatso Get those Reindeer Off my Roof"? Now that one has phenominal potential. I'll go to work on it as soon as I get home from Mass.
I did some much needed grocery shopping today. After putting the groceries in the car I returned the cart to the corral. As I was headed back to my car an elderly man was driving my direction so I couldn't continue. I had to back up or get hit. No problem, I thought.
I noticed that he was turning into the spot to the left of my car. His car was well over to the right of the yellow line that marked the parking spot leaving a tight space for me to open the door to get in. No problem, I thought. I squeezed my way into the drivers seat making sure I did not ding his car while getting in. However, a small gust of wind caught the door just as I let go of the door for a split second. It ever so gently tapped his car. I looked over to apologize and as I did he gave me the look of death. I apologized once again and explained that the wind caught the door and that I was sorry. He continued with the look...
For a moment, I forgot my upbringing to respect my elders, and fantasized that I was opening my car's door real fast about 10 times to ram it into his. Oh my, then I got the giggles thinking about my bad thoughts. Needless to say he didn't appreciate that, either.
I think he was a dem...a mean and miserable ole f*rt! :-)
Just returned from our get-away....we had a lovely time of doing nothing except vegetating :)
Slept in....hubby sunned by the pool..... while I read or shopped...
..and we took in a movie...The Incredibles...
I would highly recommend it to 10 and above, but it's too intense for young children, IMO.
...A large group of school children....(maybe a school, maybe childcare)...came in and they were high spirited and jumping up and down...
..but when the movie started, it being so intense, one could hear a pin drop from their seats....
I would say anyone over 10 but definitely not a little kids movie, like A Bug's Life...or Monsters,Inc.-(my favorite!)....
...
I always annoys me when people don't part in the center of the marked parking lines. I seem to always be the one without enough room to get in and out of the vehicle.
As an act of defiance, I am wearing my rhinestone encrusted elephant necklace to church tonight. I will be the lector and communion distributor. And the lib priest will have a cow.
I'm off! I'll report back in when/if I return.
Guennie,, you getaway sounds like just what the doctor ordered.
BBL
GRRRRRRR! Definitely sounds like a 'rat. Hope you didn't ding your car door ... to heck with his ... *hugs*
Sounds heavenly! Glad y'all could get away like that!
Way to gloat!!! ... hehehe!
(I know you and lysie can relate to this.....my dad left a message on the answering machine right before we returned home.....wanting us to bring him some cold medicine, because he was almost out.....
...Dad had plenty of money, and he has a car and we're a 1/2 hour away!!)
I called him, he said he didn't have any money, so hubby & I had him count it over the phone....and yes, he had plenty of money....sigh......
Trust me, I needed the vacation too :)
I was thinking about you and your getaway about an hour ago. You needed it.
kay, no knick in either car. The impact was like a feather floating to the ground.
I pray I don't get like that.
