Good morning folks. Internet connection is back up and running, yippee.

Here's a good finger-on-the-pulse-of-America op-ed about our feelings toward ungrateful Hollyweird leftists. I'll link the thread, but it's worth a full read.

Hollywood, We Have a Problem

Thanks for the final vote count info. I will put that number on the new t-shirt transfer I'm making. Heh!

I appreciate your Paul Bunyon comments. I am building a reputation. In '93 Hurricane Opal roared through here and Mom and Dad lost a lot of trees. They replanted. But they overplanted and I'm basically thinning the crop.

My brother asked me last night if we had any firewood. Ha!

My new oven arrived yesterday. But my dad had measured incorrectly and the space was off by about 3/8ths of an inch. Hubby spent all of yesterday planing (plaining? sp?) and sanding to get the thing to fit our cabinet. The job began about 10:30 AM and ended around 8:00 PM. We had KFC for supper last night.

Good morning to you. What are your plans for today? The main thing on my plan is to watch the Auburn-Georgia game.

GOOD A.M. FROM THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA!!!!

Tis a good day to be alive, come to think of it every day is a good day to be alive.

The picture of the young man smoking the cigarette is a big hit, heard one 'tv type critter' ask if he knew that cigarette would kill you, he just got through fighting a 12 hour battle and the reporter ask that dumb ques ton?

I honestly think that the situation in Iraq is going to change for the better and more and more are going to start pointing out the enemy. I also think they should try SaDamn and behead him in public as they should the out of country radicals that are caught, behead them in public. That is the way of life there you know.

For what it is worth, I am still getting okra from my garden, also banana peppers, egg plants and the greens are growing like mad. Problem is, me and my gd are the only two who eats greens in this house thus I am loading the neighbors up with them.

Think I will fix me something to eat, like two sop eggs on grits, the all American breakfast.

May God walk with each and every one of you. Toby

Chair: I believe that 60.48Million votes is not "counted" but "projected", if it comes from the source I found two days ago.

It is going to be over 60, for sure, but my looking around seems to indicate we won't have a final count until Dec.

I appreciate your Paul Bunyon comments.

You're welcome.

I love the old STIHL 036. Perfect for most jobs, and the weight does wear you down after a long day of use.

Sunny here today, and a temp. of 18 degrees.

We have two Husqvarnas, a 36 and a bigger one. I don't try the bigger one. I have trouble pull-starting the 36. Yet, once it's going, I keep going. I won't be cutting much today. I might do some clean-up of what I've already chopped.

We don't say it often enough, but Thank You for starting this thread each day.

21 degrees here this morning. That's a new low for us this year. I think it's suppose to be in the mid 50's today.

I have heard Husqvarnas are great saws.

Hopefully I will get to use one some day.

A few years back I was working as a ranger in our local county park, and spent an entire summer cutting down dead oak because of oak wilt. That was before we found out that by cutting these trees in the summer you release those spores. Not good!

I dinged my leg with the saw at one point, tearing into my boot, just below my chaps.

I drove my self to the emergency room, and they patched me up. The funny thing was I was more upset with my stupidity then my leg cut.

I was lucky, only a few stitches. The boot saved my leg.

Morning Granny.

I saw on C-Span they are going to do a symposium as to how/why people voted the way they did in Ohio.

Such inner reflection makes me chuckle. If they don't get it now they never will.

I was STOOPIDLY cutting brush with my 20" chain saw about 25 years ago - a tooth caught on a springy branch and was thrown about 12 inches to the side - and of course the downward pressure I was exerting tore it into my foot. Fortunately (Thank you again, Lord) I was wearing my combat boots, and the heavy leather and sole stopped the saw almost immediately. It got into my big toe nail about 1/4 inch, but about a dozen stitches fixed me up. If I'd been wearing sneakers, I could easily have lost half a foot.

Went out an bought a small 8" electric to do brush work...

Using the wrong tool for the job can be very dangerous even if your technique is acceptable.
