Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Well, Sonya is uncomfortable, sometimes nauseous, not sure what the useful difference is between 'pressure' and 'pain', is already tired of labor, and thinks she's gonna die.
In short.... she's just fine... will be a few more hours, and I'm home for a bit, prolly won't go back now till she is all done and wants company.

It's thread, Jim...
Went to B&N for a study break. Now I'm trying to study. Not going well. The writing is going much better.

Heh...I'm still deciding if I'm gonna use duct tape or not. It appeals to me, but...hm. Dunno! I need to stick SOMETHING in there, though (no pun intended), so I may run with it for now just so I can move on. But then I also have to come up with a way they can present it to the goblin king so that he sees what a wondrous thing it is. :-)

No suggestions for helping...
I'd like to finish your story tonight, or tomorrow, but no promises other than this: I'll get it done before I leave Saturday. I'm positive.
It's just my scenes are sort of working for once. It's magic. And that's a pun for this story.

Well, baby Megan is born.... as of about an hour ago. Everyone is fine... I will go for a short visit in a couple hours.
To: HairOfTheDog
What, you expect to show up and they'll say, "oh wait, she wasn't done so we put her back in for a few days"?

I don't think anyone is ready to do it again. ;~D
To: JenB
There's certainly no rush where the story's concerned.
You may have hit on the embarrassing part by now, though. I need to find real riddles...the ones I put in were horrid. I just Googled a page and cut and paste a bunch for now.

I haven't reached the riddles yet... embarrassed.... they've just set out on their journey.
Trust me, there are spots in my story where I have little ["insert appropriate citation here"] or ["fix this spot"].
