Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Are you going to grill the ham like you did the thread?
To: Corin Stormhands
Oh... good.... lord.
That's scary.
I am officially going to kill eldest bother. I have a Christmas present, a pair of books, already purchased, and what happens but he goes and buys one of the books. He knows better than to buy anything at this time of year!

I just have a field gun I can't justify mounting anything to, but the idea of a flashlight just sounds really cool. There are lots of less-fancy, and less-expensive, ways of hanging a flashlight on a farm shotgun. Ask me in freepmail if you're really interested.
G'and, OTOH, has direct, recent experience with that subject.

The last couple of weeks I have had the privilege of showing several paratroopers the incredible knife that you sent. Their response was always something like, Wow, that is an awesome knife! When you can awe Airborne, you know you've got something that really is "high speed, low drag", to use an expression of theirs.
I don't care how flabbergasted the Chaplain says he is, his letters just floor me, every time we get one.

Besides, I talk too much lately...I'd be embarrassed to see what Bear could come with as far as statistics go...

I don't blame you...
Argh. NOW I'm done Christmas shopping, having replaced one item for one bother and found two perfect books for the middle ones, even though I've got their presents. Plus got some reading material for the plane, all very cheap.

"Christmas shopping"? But we still have days and days before Christmas.
To: TalonDJ
Baka. I avoid large crowds of people at this time of year. It is all too easy for ninja to blend in with the innocent shoppers.

Guys, would like y'all to meet WhyisaTexasgirlinPA...she and I just met Saturday night!! She lives in my neighborhood, and I had the pleasure of meeting her because of another homeschooler. She made a mention of reading some political forums, and on a hunch I asked "which ones?" and she said 'Free Republic' and I told her I was a FReeper too!
As you said, WTGPA, can't swing a dead cat without hitting a FReeper...should warn you though...here in the Hobbit Hole, you can't toss a dwarf without hitting a dead elf...or something like that...hmmmm...gonna hafta think on that one a bit...
on second thought...I WONT think about it...at all...ever...OH MY HEAD!

LOL!
I found out that IO basically live within 38 miles of at least 3 other FReepers.
Now if we could only cross paths on some flimsy excuse to crack jokes and be weird together rather than just in forum...
*chuckle*

I still can't get over our screams when we realized we were both Freepers! lol................

Me neither (either?!) ... I am sure the rest of the house thought we were looney.
ACK gotta bail...one thing the HHDers know about me is I like to do fly-bys in the thread. I try to get on for a good long talk, but it always seems to be whenever the rest of the crowd is sleepy.
Will talk with you soon!
