Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |

I remember the first time. We had some minor fallout from the ash where I lived.
Back in '97 I was able to see St. Helens from the air, vey cool.
I've climbed to the summit of Mt. Lassen in northern CA before. Dog gone moonscape up there. I ekpt thinking what would happen if it were to blow again. The last time was in 1924, so pretty recent. The cinder cones on top were smouldering all over the place.
Just in case the coffin needs another nail or two in it, there's a Meroko version of Myself on the second OST too :D
Ah, Naruto ^^ I've been sticking it to the Man these past two years by not watching that show (okay, that's not entirely true. it's mostly because i'm to lazy to start :P) To be fair, though, it IS a nice show. But they should REALLY be watching FMA! XD You'd better do your civic duty and hound them about it.
I really need to read the Fruits Basket manga... T-T
Mmmm. Looks like supper!!
Actually, they aren't even good eatin' when they are that dark. Been in fresh water too long and the meat turns pale looking. They just need to go breed at that point.
Where were ya?
Yeah, I'll keep bugging. And you HAVE to read the manga, in some ways they're better than the anime. Tohru is more Tohru, Kyo is more Kyo, and especially Shi-san is more Shi-san... hehe, guess you can guess which one I like.
Agree with your tagline, except I give Takuto some bonus points for not being even slightly bishi, ever. Young Wakaouji-sensei had some really girly hair. But Ooshige-san is cute...
Naruto has its points, most of them being that because the plot doesn't matter, ever, it's the perfect anime club show. But that and Inu-Yasha are so insanely popular... ah well, FMA should be huge next year...
That's where you climbed the volcano? - Or you got dusted with ash from ours there?
Mt. Lassen is a couple of houndred miles north of that.
Scott from the Deep South? (Well, for this week anyway).
Had a great trip here. The flight to Atlanta was clear all the way across the country (and I had a window seat). It is warm and humid here (still summer)...I guess they call the air "soft" when it's like this. Interesting countryside, very heavily vegetated, thick underbrush and thick with trees. I'm at the very southern foothills of the Appalachians. No towns or cities between here and Atlanta (it was a 90 minute bus trip here from Atlanta airport). So it's an interesting new experience.
I'm on dial-up with my laptop, so the connection is slooooow and I'm not used to that.
Good Morning! Happy Monday!
Good morning! It's a beautiful day here.
Ohh...I'm devastated!
Not!
Good morning!
Not a bad day for a Monday...wish we coulda had one more Sunday, though!
Got up early and walked. It's foggy and cool again, but there's nothing but blue sky on the other side of the fog, and it should be up past seventy later. I went for a nice long walk before work...that chilly air feels sooo good when you're moving! Have I mentioned how much I love this time of year?
Good morning everyone!
My dad's family lives in Alabama. Did you ever see "October Sky"? That's the kinda place he grew up in, a coal mining town. The town is completely gone now. Not a building standing.
I can't even imagine the kind of destruction people are dealing with. Things like that just don't HAPPEN here. We have the occasional roof collapse during a particularly snowy winter...and fires...but nothing of the scale of a big storm.
Did his family make it through OK, besides the buildings? Or do any of them still live there?
Oh...no! LOL My dad grew up in a highly vegetated place like Scott was describing...a coal mining town. The coal mining operation shut down and the entire town left to find other work. Eventually, all the buildings were either torn down or they fell down.
Mornin'
Yes, it's raining...
We just got power back on so here's a quick note to let all know we made it through alright.
How did Ruthy and Sam do?
