The Hobbit Hole XV - Pass them by! Pass them by!
See our freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net home page! ^

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Pass them by! Pass them by!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

By the way... Full Moon wo Sagashite isn't licensed... maybe I can get you a copy of that. That'd keep you busy for a while, no?

Yep! What does Sagashite mean? Seems like there's a lot of anime with "moon" in the title...I get confused!

I should send you some blank CDs at some point, shouldn't I? Or help pay for some, in any case...

The title more or less means "Searching for a Full Moon". The heroine's name, Mitsuki, apparently means "Full Moon"... it would have been nice for the fansubbers to tell us that, but whatever.

For me, there are more "Full" titles than "Moon" titles to worry about. Fullmetal Alchemist, Full Metal Panic, FLCL is close (it's pronounced 'Fooly Cooly' or 'Furi Kuri' depending).

Don't worry about the cds. I believe - "Share and Enjoy!" And I like talking anime with people.

I took those last year down at our local Tumwater Falls Park..... I am on the phone with Ruthy and we are talking about the salmon running right now and how she wants to see it!

Cool salmon! I've seen them on nature shows and the like, but never in real life. Alive, at least. *grin*

That is definitely going on my "things to see before I die" list.

I dunno about visiting a volcano though. With my luck, it would wait until I was just close enough and then blow its top.

We just drained a big ole (marble sized) abcess thing on my dog with a pin. ecurbh held the towel and the spotlight. It was not a bad surgery for a couple of amateurs!

[no longer hijack!]

Somebody once likened FMA to a particularly enjoyable infectious disease. I can see what they were on about XD *has infected many peoples*

To tell you the truth, a friend of mine totally spoiled me about the end of Full Moon before I'd even started watching it, so I was rooting for Takuto the entire time ^_^; You can find the 'Myself' lyrics here, with a pretty good translation too. And I know what you mean, I love all the different takes on the same song ^_^ I really loved Takuto's little performance of 'Myself' on the beach, in particular.
By the way, there's a lovely little piano swing instumental of Eternal Snow on the second OST ^^

Well, I'd hope so, if you came all that way to see it!

Well, I was sure from about episode... 24, that either that's how the romances would resolve (though I wasn't sure what would become of Eichi-kun) or he was her father. Am glad it worked ok! And yes - I was hoping we'd get more of Takuto's singing!

Darn, I should have bought the OSTs at the con last week, but they were just too expensive. I'm happy, though, got the Fruits Basket soundtrack. (And just finished reading FB volume five. I love this story...)

Yup, FMA is a socially transmitted disease! I'm working on... let's see, there are the two little sister, Rosie, ksen and family, and now my coworkers, plus the people at anime club who I've been ordering to go see it. But noooo, they only want to watch Naruto. Sheesh.

However, the swarm has since changed to include more than 10 larger earthquakes of magnitude 2 to 2.8.

Yawn. A barking dog is more disruptive.

it would be cool to see it blow it top again.
