Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Hill and water under sky
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

BTW, I picked up envelopes for the CDs today. I'll be stopping by the post office after work on Monday. May be bugging a few people for addresses Monday, though I think I have most of ya...

Thanks Hair and ecurbh for the pier pics. The wideness you see in that picture is an optical illusion. It's the red shirt...honest...

Someday, once again, we'll stand on the same beach and talk. ;-) ~smiles~ I know I've said this before, but the stark difference between the Atlantic and the Pacific is something I never would have understood had I not seen it. And ~heard~ it. The Atlantic can get noisy I am sure... during a hurricane, but the Pacific is ~always~ noisy. Bringing in surf from storms thousands of miles away, all the time, day and night. It is ~never~ quiet like that.
Atlantic:

...Tuesday, about 7:00 p.m.
Pacific on a nice day:

You need to start charging for these free gigs!
Went to the anime club. It was pretty fun... most of the regulars were very cliqueish, but I hung out with a couple younger girls who were new, too. They showed a lot of different stuff and I'm fairly overloaded. Sigh... and it was so nice to listen in on conversations about whether or not Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle are the best team of SF writers, or about who'd win in a battle between Batman and Kenshin. I've missed geek-talk so much...
