Dunno, it's about twice the price but it lasts twice as long, so it all works out, right? Also I understand you can push it further if you have to with synthetic.
I think you're right about Vlasic being the one with the stork. Trying to remember last time I had Klaussen. I kinda like garlic myself so maybe I should try that and see if I can notice that--never noticed it before.
I just don't know if it'd be worth it for an older vehicle that has used the regular stuff for so long. But otherwise...even though it's pricier, it might well be worth it!
Fr. Brown was mysteries written for kids, right? I think I'd probably enjoy those so I might start there.
"We can discuss, ksen probably won't be around today and should have seen that far anyway, and Fedora, if he reads this, should have time to forget about it before he gets to see any."
Hey! I saw that allusion to the possibility of a potential spoiler! :)
I finished Disc 2 yesterday. The last episode was the one where Sim is revealed to be a Peacemaker. What are the Peacemakers anyway?
Going out in about an hour and a half to have lunch with my parents and then see "Bourne Supremacy", so I'll be gone most of the afternoon. When I get back I'll probably finish that FMA manga issue. I got partway through but then after I logged off FR I wanted to finish the SP disc so I didn't finish the FMA issue yet.
I think if you are going to push it longer, it is much better to have a synthetic. Pennzoil turns to a thick sludge when it is old. Ramius lost an engine in a newer truck because of it. He rarely drove it, so it sat longer than the recommended time, but not the mileage. His engine seized and was ruined. The oil that came out of it looked like gloppy jam. The synthetics don't do that. No more Pennzoil.
"Well...I'm cheap. I rarely buy new books, and I tend to buy a lot by authors I already know, so half.com and used bookstores work well for me."
What's half.com? I used to go to Half-Price Books all the time but there's not one near here so if that's what I'm hoping it is it could be the end of my book-shopping drought. . .
"I read a Chesterton book last year "The Man Who Knew Too Much"."
Was that the basis of the Alfred Hitchcock movie about the travelling American who accidentally stumbles into a spy situation so the spies kidnap his son?
"Tomorrow the high is supposed to be 68."
In Wisconsin that's a heatwave :) It's up to 60 now so far this morning. . .
Yeah, I think I'll be driving a lot less once I get to Ft Collins, so I need something that will last for a while. So I'll just have an oil fund. Next to my Christmas fund, my semester fees fund, and my anime fund. (I'm planning to have really precise excel spreadsheet budgets, rather than little envelopes full of cash!)
Maybe it would help nudge her if you invited 13 Dwarves to her house for dinner? :)
"That would be great! Now that we're in the maintenance phase, I think a spoonful of sugar-free jam on a piece of low-carb bread every now and then would be tastey!"
I'm trying to fit that into the Mary Poppins song and it doesn't quite work:
Just a spoonful of sugar-free jam
helps the medicine go down. . .
Dude, you're complaining about spoiler potential and then you want me to tell you what Peacemakers are?
Geeky trivial thing: FMA is apparently how you abbreviate "Fullmetal Alchemist". I know there's no such word as "fullmetal" but that's how it shows up in the logo, and it's one word in the original Japanese (hagane). I love geeky trivia stuff.
Oh, oh, here comes the rain...
"The book I'm reading is vying for "best book I've ever read" status, but it does take concentration."
What is it?
No, not for kids. They're fairly involved.
"Dude, you're complaining about spoiler potential and then you want me to tell you what Peacemakers are?"
Um--yes :) I'm kinda finicky about spoilers. Sometimes I don't like them and sometimes I give into the temptation (like when I peeked ahead the first time I read LotR to find out what happened to the Ring).
So what are Peacemakers? :) I have a theory I'm wondering about. . .

I have changed my tagline accordingly, since it was apparently incorrect before :)
Here comes the rain again
Falling on my head like a memory
Um...try checking it out!
It's kinda like a big garage sale. It's the "other side" of eBay...no bidding. I get most of my CDs and many of my books there. It's like the used listings on Amazon, which I've also used.
