Yep. We have to not overload the bride with stuff that night before. There is enough already. She and ecurbh are planning to be with his parents that day already I believe. I'm thinkin' there is little time for much if she's gonna be well rested! :-)
It was from a new A&E Biography documentary that had clips from the new movie in it. I don't know when the actual interview was shot, though.
And it was about *that* death. No spoilers, Fedora and Rosie are going to get there soon enough.
Slowly but surely! I'm halfway through Book 2 now. I'm compromising by reading a chapter per footnote (or actually three after the last footnote--but they were short!).
Yep. They are yellow and green. And so was the high school that Jill and Myranda attended just across the county line.
Hey, I just realized the Packers' colors are Hobbit colours!--hmmm. . .
Our local school is yellow and green... truly ugly shades, though, and I wasn't into football. At the right time of year, every other house is decked in yellow and green crepe.
I think that Hobbits would approve of what the team name refers to, as well.
Dogs are usually pretty good judges of who's nice and who's not. ;o)
True. We had our rehearsal dinner the night before and that was a lot of fun. After the rehearsal dinner, Steve and his brothers went to our house and drank beer. Not too much though...they were real good. No bleary-eyed behavior the next day! LOL
I went to the hotel after the rehearsal dinner.
Oh, my rehearsal dinner was nothing more than me going over the script of what each person was supposed to do. The Abby Mansion was booked the night before, so I just drew a floor plan, gave everyone a script, told everyone where they were supposed to stand and when they were supposed to do what.
The next day, the coordinator of the Abby Mansion just stood around spinning in a circle while everyone did exactly as I told them. It came off without a hitch. Perfectly orchestrated.
I should go into business! LOL
Well, I mean, we did EAT at the rehearsal dinner too...but it was just a little mexican food restaurant. Family-owned. Called "La Fuentes" I believe. Over on William Cannon BLVD.
They were so thrilled to have such a gigantic crowd that they pulled out all the stops for us...very sweet.
I think it cost my FIL $300 total.
True--second bratwursts for second breakfasts! And the drink that goes with it comes in pints! :)
Well, if you didn't get your good looks from him, they musta come from yo Mama! ;o)
LOL... I never had a rehearsal or a rehearsal dinner!
For Jill's wedding my dad smoked a turkey and a brisket and I made the stuff to go with it. We had it in the church fellowship hall. It was more of a family reunion than a rehearsal dinner.
I actually look mostly like Dad's side, though not like my Dad. But I got Mom's eyes...I'm the only one to have eyes as dark blue as hers.
My sibs all have brown eyes, like Mom's. Mine are hazel. I used to tease them that I was 'special' because of that.
Dad's, now, are blue. You'd have thought one of us would have blue eyes, I mean, with seven kids...
It's a recessive gene!
But then, none of us got Dad's eye color, either. Most of them are more or less hazel, but Stephen and John and Teresa I have blue eyes. Wait...that's like half of us, isn't it? Not most...oops.
Long before he became governor of California and later the 40th President of the United States, Ronald Reagan was a move and radio actor, and a pretty good one at that. As a tribute to Mr. Reagan's impact on our world and his passing this week, we re-present our very favoirte radio performance he gave, as the narrator of this powerful story of a spoiled little boy, and a little tin whistle, as originally broadcast on "Family Theater", August 12, 1948.

THIS SHOW HEREThis file is approximately 7 megs in size, so on a 56K modem it may take 30 minutes or more to download.
Oh, how cool! I'll have to wait until I'm home to check this out, but I'll download it, for sure!
'Half' can seem like most. Especially if the half is all bothers. Two of them can be a crowd.
I dunno.... just visiting sounds good to me, and leave my feet to be feet. They run barefoot outside and other hard tasks, they are not to be photographed, but to be walked on....
Getting a pap smear is good body maintenance too, but I don't do it in front of friends! ;~D
Let's not talk about such things in mixed company...
