Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Oh, I knew I was going to hate the flick when they said they were dumping the suits ... but, great-googly-moogly, I I didn't realize how awful it would be!

Alan Rickman gets to be very evil in this movie. Just in the previews, he's dripping hate and scorn around. I love his actingI loved his character in Sense and Sensibility. Emma Thompson truly deserved the Oscar she won for Best Adapted Screenplay for that one. I could hardly slog through the Austen book, but she did a good job condensing the story.
Another movie that Alan Rickman is in that you might like is Truly, Madly, Deeply, with Juliet Stevenson. It's a chick flick, but with an very interesting story line.

The only thing I can think of is that there is something going on where sites don't reload multiple times. On just about any site, I can get there once, twice... three times... but at some point refresh starts to hang.
My start page is news.google.com... after a while, that stopped loading too. clearing the local dns cache and clearing temp files doesn't have any effect.
It's just bizarre.

I'm sure there's time for breakfast, 2J... but maybe not time for second breakfast. The wedding is at Noon Sharp. :-)
Only takes about 15-20 min to get there from Scott's vicinity.

hummm... looks like the backbone where you're at now is att.net; the one earlier used alter.net. Maybe alter.net is where the freakout is happening?
