hummm... looks like the backbone where you're at now is att.net; the one earlier used alter.net. Maybe alter.net is where the freakout is happening?

Yah, I'm on my ATT/Comcast cable connection here. The hotel must have a T1 or something to Alter.net. But Alter is one of the major backbone providers?
I'm stumped.
