Loves LightDid you ever notice, about a polarized light?
You have an inbound photon, that then rebounds just right.
It has to do with angles, and how they do reflect,
Id like to draw a parallel, if no one will object. That bit of cosmic energy gets knocked a little flat,
And you can tell it hit something, the way it tilts its hat.
But not just any glasses will let you watch this dance.
You have to have the proper kind or you wont have a chance. In just exactly this same way there is another thing,
That folks will say you cannot see no matter what you bring.
It is the light of heaven, sent down from up above.
And no one seems to see it, unless they look through love. Its mostly in reflection, that you can know its there,
For otherwise, a lesser light will seem to fill the air.
You look for these reflections, in little childrens eyes.
There is a brightness shining there that nothing can disguise. It seems those close to Heaven, are those who see the light,
The rest of us can can see it then, if we just catch them right.
The elderly are looking at so much we cannot see,
We think that they are lost in thought, for what else could it be?They look out to a playground, so empty to our eyes,
And see the children playing there, when they were but this size.
They know theyre bound for Heaven. They see it every day.
And we could learn to see it too, if we would look their way.Time seems to occupy us. Weve really lost the knack,
To see the world with patient love, with nothing left to pack.
Theyre going on a journey, returning to the source.
A greater love has shown the way. Thats why they smile, of course.NicknamedBob . . . . . . . . . . . . . March 29, 2004
