The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

He was and Is a rose growing in a sea of ugliness. The uglier it is, the better the Passion seems by comparison.
I would expect that it will be hard to look at, and I fully expect that.
I have been fascinated so far by the extreme polarization that has been occurring in the reviews. Clearly, the film brings people to a decision point, and it is left to the individual to decide what to do with what they have seen.
Seems to me that it is very much like the gospel in that regard. Eventually everyone must confront it and make a decision about it. People will have taken sides whether they like it or not. In many ways, that's just like the gospels themselves.
It may well be that this mere movie, if it really captures what I hope it might, could be the small stone that starts an avalanche.

Sorry... was typin'.
But I am about gone. Time to bail out methinks.

It may well be that this mere movie, if it really captures what I hope it might, could be the small stone that starts an avalanche. We can pray for this. I have been pretty shocked at the criticism of the movie. I believe it must be very powerful to have received this much hatred. But, then, that is the way with a lot of Christian issues in our time.
I will see it. You may have to scrape me off the sidewalk afterward though.

I sat there, stunned. I don't think anyone has ever called me "baby-doll" before!LOL!
I have a hard enough time with people who call me "dear"...mostly older guys. I think THAT would have stunned me for sure!

Good morning! I probably missed ya. Sunny here, too.
And Dad borrowed Van-sama for the day...and took my keys in the process. Parly my fault, I know. But now I'm at work with no keys, and I needs 'em. Grrrr...

Good morning, everyone.
So, is winter loosening its grip at all in the NE?
Warm and muggy here, in the 80's, though there is a cold front struggling around the middle of the state. It's supposed to pass through this afternoon and tonight, driving temps down to the mid 60's, but with highs still in the 70's.

Wow...you guys had a great discussion about the Passion last night and hit the nail on the head how I feel about it.
Very insightful, you guys!

It was below zero again last night. Up to about four degrees now.
Not loosening very much! But usually it doesn't really start feeling like spring until mid to late April, and we still get snow until then...so I'm accepting.

Good morning everyone!
We only got one egg yesterday, besides the tiny one...Jar Jar laid the only egg we got. I know, because she's the only one that lays a white egg.
Hope today is better!

OK, sounds like it's still winter.
I was wondering.
The oaks here are well into their new growth.

Did the teacher leave you any instructions? Or "busy work"?
Joshua just polished off 3 french toasts and a glass of milk. Matthew is still in bed, stayed up too late reading.
I'm gonna finish my bagel and this second cup of coffee before I get him up and fix his french toast...I'm selfish! LOL
