The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

It's not a HUGE roast, but decent sized. Gonna do pot roast with it, as that's what my favorite cookbook suggests for that cut. It's simmering now and already smells dandy.

Then I can make chili with the leftovers...or some of the leftovers. And maybe vegetable soup after that.

I'm so happy - I haven't had beef in awhile!

I have a Two Towers poster in my kitchen. There's nothing wrong with that, is there?

Like I care! ;-)

Going to go read one of my new paperbacks. Oh, and I went to the store farther away, so I have German chocolate, the brand I like! It's a good day...

Yes - I want everyone dressed like that!

I was prepared at Entmoot, but noone asked...

I'm glad it's still possible!

Well, nothing is impossible.

We'll not yet talk about the probable.

Thanks, big ol for keeping us up to date. Please let Lil Freeper know she and her family are in our thoughts and prayers. I'm glad she's gonna have this time with her Dad.

Thanks for the addy. I went there, but it only shows Worcester weather when I type in my zip code (which is NOT Worcester, but just next door)

Right now I'm trying stiff paper - like those cards that fall out of magazines - and clear tape. Think I'e got this B flat done right although it sounds a little breathy.

I've been reading all afternoon. Great way to pass time... and my room is almost clean! I just have to set my collection of dragons back up.

But I hafta get pizza for the bothers, so looks like I get to go out in the cold. It's not snowing, at least...

I'm so happy - I haven't had beef in awhile!

I'm glad you're havin' it then! I haven't either. But, that's only because I haven't cooked. LOL Except I made queso yesterday to nibble on for the weekend. That doesn't really count as cooking cause it's too easy and it's a snack food. ha ha....

Been working hard today on getting my rooms done.... howcome when I work like this I seldom think it looks like I've done much? Funny thing is, I was wanting to get *my* new room fixed up.... but since I had to move Myranda's stuff out first, her new room looks fabulous. Mine looks like a blank hospital room or somethin'. sheesh.... maybe tomorrow I'll get it how I want it. maybe.

I've got a question for ya. In order to save postage between me and you (cause postage is takin such a chunk) how bout if I freepmail you a couple of addresses and you send 'em over.

There's a number of ways we can work this out. If you want several, I'll pick up the postage to ship them to you. I figure it's a bit wasteful to mail a $2 item overseas all by itself. But if you include it in the next care package, that makes more sense. It's a lot cheaper for me to mail you a dozen or so than to mail that same dozen as twelve separate mailings to Iraq.

That way, you can keep a supply on hand, and throw some in with each shipment. But I'm willing to do it however it's most convenient or economical for you.

I have a Two Towers poster in my kitchen.

LOL! No, I think that's normal! hehehe

It just cracked me up cause it's the menu from this little hole-in-the-wall Mexican food place back home and it was right in amongst music, movie and other posters and somehow I had never noticed it there!

But, then, her walls were pretty much wall to wall stuff hangin' on 'em.

We'll not yet talk about the probable.

If we only talk about the probable, we'll miss a whole lot of opportunities in life!

I've got an Aragorn poster on my bedroom wall... also my artwork is pictures from previous years' Tolkien calendars. And my nice Earthrise pic which keeps falling down, oh dear.

Oh, and the Evil Overlord's List is on my bulletin board, just for reference purposes.
