The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Hi, Osage.
Was just reading back into the thread, trying to make a little sense of it. I saw the news about Samantha, am very sad and sorry. We put our old lab to sleep a couple years ago, so I understand something of the feeling. They are good old dogs.
Perhaps, wherever she is, she can takes some pleasure in your reminiscences, they are like poetry. I'll raise a pint to her next time I have one in hand, this evening perhaps.

OK, time to go shower and get dressed up for church. In plenty of time to start the car ahead of time, of course!
To: AnAmericanMother

Getting ready for church... must find an acceptable sweater so I can wear pants today...

The outfit that trains this pony have got to be the same one that got a little bit of bad press last year when pony pooped on the plane. Now... I am sympathetic that it would smell purdy bad in a closed space like that..... and some of the grumps on board complained! Whatever happened to just acknowledging that the world sometimes gets in our way and makes a smell!

ecurbh's up.
Think it is me snoring!

Mornin' folks. We are back. Thanks fer leavin' directions to th' new place.
Gotta run. Time for church. Then gotta come home and deal with the fact that we need a new water heater.
I'll catch up this afternoon.
To: Corin Stormhands
Welcome back Corin! Glad you made it here!
No word from 2J yet..... she's gonna be furious if she gets left behind!

Those little horses are cool...I don't remember ever hearing about house training a horse, but suppose it could be done?
Well, it's Jeanne's birthday, so am going out for a cake.

Well, I'm not the one to ask about pony poop . . .
After all these years, I kinda like the smell (yeah, I know, that's weird. In my own defense, I think pony pee smells awful.) But, after all, all the ponies eat is God's own green grass and oats, it's not like they eat meat or anything . . .

My motto is, get in the choir as fast as you can, then you don't have to worry about what you're wearing . . .
(you ought to see what the acolytes are wearing under their robes. Heavy metal T-shirts and cutoffs, lotsa times. I don't go that far, but . . . )

I kinda like the smell It's not the worst thing, in an open area. I love the mixed smells of barns too. Closed in a tight space, it can be a bit lethal!
