The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

My mother gets hers done every week but I haven't got a clue about that sort of thing. Having you say the same thing is encouraging!

Ask W, she'll likely know. My daughter (elf) gets hers done too, regularly. We hobbits don'e mess with such stuff. Doing good to keep the toe hairs trimmed.

Ugh, I'm going home soon, too. Early. My stomach's upset. Apparently I got the wrong kind of sugar-free candy... the kind with Malitol. Ugh, that stuff is death to my stomach.

I just want to rest. And read, maybe.
Has anyone here ever had a sinus infection? I never have...but I'm wondering if I've got one now. Have had MUCHO pressure below my eyes and around my nose over the last few days, and ear pain, too. Could that be?
I'm hoping it's just pain because of dry air, but seems like that wouldn't cause pressure.
To: JenB
Hope you feel better soon! I'm kinda afraid to ever try sugar-free candy - heard a lot of it'll do that to ya.
To: RosieCotton
A lot as in a lot of kinds...not a lot of candy.
To: RosieCotton
There is a bug going around that seems to target the sinuses. Plenty of folks around here have or have had it already.
I drink lots of green tea and take echinacea (sp?). Seems to knock it out quicker.
Oh yeah, and Tylenol Sinus works great for quick relief!!
I think I'm going home now....
See you all later!

Dry hot air cracks the sinus mucous membranes and allows infection to enter the cracks. Very likely. Always humidify when running a heater.

It depends on the person. If it's made with lactitol or Splenda, I'm fine with it. It's malitol that I have trouble with - drat, or is it the other way around?
Scratch that, looks like lactitol that's the problem. Malitol's a different sugar alcohol. Urgh. That must have been my problem, I looked for the wrong ingredient. But it's low-carb!

Correction!Jen, your post count was 144! I copied the wrong number.

Always humidify when running a heater. I do at home! But it's dry here at work. And I have this pressure headache that won't quit...so I'm thinking that must be it.
