You nailed a huge point - the ever changing goal post.

I am going to get a letter to the editor that basically says - funny how a common detraction from the progress of the War was that we had not even caught Saddam and now that we have - it is no big deal.

Just like the war, they said it would be really hard, long and draw out. Then when we made Baghdad in a Historic push it all turned to - no big deal, they had no money, under trained army, blah blah blah.
