The Hobbit Hole V - Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
ecurbh

Posted on 12/11/2003 2:07:57 PM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Egads it's good to be home. Ice everywhere- they actually let us out early. Post always does a terrible job keeping up with snow and ice. Eeeek eeeeek eeeeek.

Uhhhh...dough, cheese, tomatoes. Looks like it's going to be hamburger, onion, olives. I'll have to scrounge about a bit and see what else I can find.

Over the course of the last few years, I've noticed a gradual dwindling of response from my state senators and congressmen, no matter how many times, or in which manner I contact them. Even the ones I've voted for, and whose campaigns I've donated to.

No longer.

They no longer fear/respect/value their constituents...and that's not a good thing.

Thank you.

You've made my night!

I'm here late at work this evening, and all I have is a half a can of cold tuna to eat.

I'm makin' pork chops with cream gravy, mashed taters and steamed broccoli. Should be good...if a bit spicy. I use Tony Cahaheha's...whatever. Can't remember the fella's last name. Cajun seasoning - on the pork. It's good! Makes the gravy vey tasty, too.

Dough should be ready in about 10 to 15 minutes.

Ok...sandpaper and a small wire brush, then some rustoleum...I think that would really make it function like brand new.

I'm pleased as can be about it. I don't think I'm really all that much into retro...I just like the idea of being able to have my ice cream and eat it too, even if the electricity goes out! LOL There are brand new crank models you can buy...cost an ever-lovin' fortune...like $200!

I discovered a few days ago that one of my cats won't touch chicken. Huh? That's a new one in my experience.

She likes RAW stuff, though. Ugh. The other cats are more refined.

Well.... pretty much brand new. It was new 4 months ago when I got it for my animation classroom. And then the animation classes didn't make for this term so the 5 brand spankin' new Dell's were just sittin' there. Beggin' to come into my office and replace the old thing! :-)

Glad you got home safely!

I managed to pull my car up our driveway, yay. Brothers shovelled, and I gunned it up, and now I'm parked safely.

I was thinking of you all morning. The A/C was stuck "on" in my office. I didn't take my coat off until 2pm. Boss's office was 62 degrees. Mine was perceptibly colder. BRRR

Yes, I have! You remembered when I brought it up before!

I'm very delighted. I was ambling through the thrift store when JOSHUA pointed and said "Look Mom! A funny-looking popcorn popper." I looked and just squealed! "That's not an popcorn popper, baby!" Says I. "That's a crank ice cream maker, like I've been looking for! WAY TO GO!" He was pleased as punch and called his dad first thing when he got home to tell him the whole story!

LOL
