Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Hi there! Remember, take Cold-eeze as directed...it's not a throat lozenge...it's a dose of medicine that has to be taken at certain intervals. Taken correctly it can arrest a cold and if taken soon enough, it can prevent it completely!
I'm a BIG TIME believer in the stuff.

Well, I am ashamed to say that I have not mopped my floor since before Christmas. I'm supposed to do it every Monday and I just blew it off.
So as punishment (not really), I SCRUBBED the entire floor with ammonia solution. It is sparkling clean now, I tell ya! LOL
Two surprises...
First, you remember when the jedis and I painted that box in the kitchen to put over the bunnies in the garden? Remember they got paint footprints all over the floor? It came off. The ammonia solution just ate right through it. Not more little paint footprints on the floor.
Second...some Tabasco that I spilled DID NOT come off! It STAINED the floor! Ha!

Honestly, for a budget of $2 million it was about as good as could be expected, I think... their heart was in the right place, they just couldn't follow through with that small a budget.I feel sort of the same way about another sci-fi classic, Tron. Small budget, terrible effects, but for some reason, it just works. And it's funny to me, since I'm usually a "purist", that they changed so much from the comics and yet I don't mind. I can't quite put my finger on it... just somehow the spirit of the movies feels right to me.
Agreed. I'm glad they're not (as of yet) dealing with all the space-nonsense. Keeping things the way they have, make the story seem all that more plausible, an applicable to real-world situations.
I'm hoping beyond hope that Colossus has a much more expanded role in X-3. I shreiked like a little girl when we went to see X-2, the scene where he comes into the room and his plates are forming. I wasn't expecting that. Classic nerd-fest!
Of course, they could just get it all over with, and do a 'Secret Wars' movie series. That way, they wouldn't have to do separate movies for each comic book franchise. Pierce Brosnan would make a great Beyonder, IMO

some Tabasco that I spilled DID NOT come off! Them hot peppers is dangerous!! I've used an ammonia solution on my floors since we remodeled our house in NJ in 1987 and that's what the new floor salesman recommended. I just put the solution in a spray bottle, spray the floor in a 6 foot square area and let it sit for a few minutes then go over it with a sponge squeeze mop. After I've done the area, I rinse the mop in the sink then rinse the floor. I move on the next area, do the whole floor this way, and when I'm done, the kitchen has been mopped and rinsed, and I haven't had to put my hands in the stuff!

I'm back.
Went to Eckerd and got the Cold-Eeze...on sale! Yippy!
Anyway, I am a firm believer in reading all the directions, cautions and so on about meds before I pop them in my mouth. Thanks for the info.
And, I did read "do not eat or drink citrus fruits or juices 1/2 hour before or after taking Cold-Eeze"
Wouldn't ya know it. I drank some apple juice on my way to pick it up. So... I am on water now waiting for a 1/2 hour to pass....

I put my yellow gloves on and got down on my hands and knees and SCRUBBED...but now I haven't done more than mop it with a little orange scented lysol before this, so it needed to be really really cleaned.
I went over it with just water afterwards, and my mop. I would dampen the mop, mop the floor, then rinse the mop....the mop water never even got cloudy, so I guess I did a good job with the scrubbing! LOL

Well, everyone is off safely.
This was a vey sad morning. Although I wouldn't have traded it for anything.
I guess next one will be either wedding moot or midwest moot. Details will hopefully follow soon.
PS: Corin, I heard rumblings that there may be terrible things in store for your shoes should they pass through Missouri......
