A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.
The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?
The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.
Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.
DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.
Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

It's just odd to me that after all this time someone by the same name pops up. Here is an article that seems to prove that we are on the right track, the newspapers and media are playing catch up.

US probes online terror talk
By Frank Gardner
BBC's security correspondent
Intelligence agencies are investigating a series of internet warnings, said to be issued by al-Qaeda, about major terrorist attacks on the United States.
The messages - posted on several Islamist websites - include claims that an entire city could be destroyed.
This week, a statement, said to be from al-Qaeda intelligence services, warned the countdown to hit America had begun.
"It will be an even stronger strike than nuclear weapons so be prepared, oh mujahideen holy soldiers," it said.
The statement concluded that unless America and its allies withdrew from Iraq, Afghanistan and all Islamic countries, the organisation had ordered the elimination of US leaders and their supporters.
Wishful thinking?
Another statement, repeated three times in recent days, was posted on an Islamist internet forum called the Mujahideen Network.
It claimed to be from the Islamic nation to the American people, and boasted that its group now had the ability to destroy an entire US city.
There are a lot of such messages on the internet - some not necessarily new - and their authors are hard to identify.
It makes it almost impossible to determine whether these really are final warnings before an attack, like those of 11 September, or just wishful thinking by al-Qaeda sympathisers.
But US and UK intelligence services are taking the messages, and their content, seriously.

We fuss at the gov for never telling us the truth, well here is a clinton whopper.
Does anyone recall the Brooklyn Bridge shooting of about 1994? It was labeled "Road Rage", didn't that term come into play during the clinton nightmare?

PHOENIX - The theft of 7,300 gallons of gasoline was reported Saturday by the owner of a Shell station in the 5800 block of North 27th Avenue.
"I've never heard about this kind of thing," owner, Chevy Sarna, 53, said. "It was a very big theft."
Sarna said he discovered the disappearance of the gas, worth $11,000 to $12,000, when he came to work Saturday morning.
A tanker truck would have been needed to carry off the gas, which was taken from tanks below ground level, he said

Q&A: Online terror chatter
Intelligence agencies are investigating a series of internet warnings, said to be issued by al-Qaeda, about major attacks on the United States. Messages posted on several Islamist websites include claims that an entire city could be destroyed. One message warns of an attack stronger than that of nuclear weapons.
BBC Security Correspondent Frank Gardner looks at the significance of the messages.
What sort of messages are being posted on websites?
The vast majority of messages being posted on Arabic-language internet chartrooms consist of innocent banter, often between bored teenagers. But on certain 'jihadi' (ie extremist) sites there is a plethora of angry rhetoric against America and its allies.
Sometimes a contributor using an assumed name will log on for a short time and post a message saying something like "the countdown to a mighty blow against the non-believers has begun" or "prepare yourself, oh mujahideen, for victory against the Zionist oppressors".
What could "a stronger strike than nuclear weapons" mean?
It is possible that this could refer to an earthquake. One jihadi contributor, Abu Muhammad al-Ablaj, has been quoted as discussing the triggering of explosions along America's continental fault lines.
Do we know the messages are genuine?
We do not. Those posting such warnings tend to use only aliases, often based on historical figures whom they see as playing a heroic role in Islamic history.
It is also hard for Western governments to work out where the messages were sent from, but most are thought to originate in public internet cafes in the Middle East and Asia - the cyber equivalent of the phone box on the street corner.
Experts do say, however, that there are certain clues about some messages which identify them as being more likely to come from al-Qaeda. These include phraseology, historic references and so on.
How seriously are the US and UK authorities treating them?
In the current nervous climate (with Britain and many countries still at a heightened state of alert), Western governments are taking the warnings seriously.
But without knowing a specific target, they are limited in what actions they can take.
Over the Christmas/New Year holiday period, US intelligence agencies received information that made them believe there was a risk of terrorists setting off a radiological dirty bomb in a US city, so they dispatched experts to those cities with detection devices. They did not find any bombs.
How important is the internet for al-Qaeda communication?
The internet is invaluable. Before the attacks of 11 September 2001, al-Qaeda's senior leadership preferred to communicate by satellite phone. Now they are much more wary.
They still broadcast their propaganda messages through physical audio tapes but they also use audio messages sent over the internet. They also use it on a daily basis to communicate with each other and their supporters.
The internet is now so well established in Arab and Asian countries that it is relatively easy for terrorists to hide their usage of it among ordinary members of the public.

That would be me. I was attempting the near impossible of cross-referencing an index, (and actually indexed about 6000 or so posts) but the posting of that index would be nearly prohibitive.
So... I'll try doing a summary again.

One of (Venezuelan president) Hugo Chavez' high ranking ministers is the brother of Carlos the Jackal, who is currently in a French prison and converted to Islam about 10 years ago.
Venezuela is full of Cubans. Cuban planes can fly into VZ, land and unload without a security check at a special gate.
The "brigade" (of Chavez supporters) that has threatened to bomb the Spanish, US and UK embassies is allegedly run by Cuba.
Lots of connections there.
I just stumbled across this thread by accident after having ignored it for weeks, because I thought it was a "panic" thread. Now I see that it's an information collection thread, and a very interesting one, at that.
I'm a Spanish translator, and if anybody needs anything translated from Spanish (or Catalan), let me know. I'm off and on most of the day. If it's really urgent, FReepmail me in a private reply.
