Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles - Daily Terror Threat

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

Maybe its just the new and improved tin foil that I purchased last month, but I have a really bad feeling this time.

I don't have any particularly bad feeling however let's do a little recap.

• We have a warning for muslims to leave NY/DC/LA

• I recall some other Imam's claiming America won't make it through Ramadan

• It is currently Ramadan

• One of the signs of the Mahdi is the double eclipse, The first event, the Lunar eclipse is to happen late Saturday/early Sunday November 8/9. The Solar Eclipse will occur on November 23. I'm still searching to see how often this happens, no luck so far, havn't found the right site yet.

• Al Qaeda/terrorists seem to attack us every 18 to 36 months and have done so fairly consistantly. We are now 26 months from the last major attack.

• The Lunar Eclipse will cause a "Blood Moon" in which refracted light around the earth will be shifted red and the moon will have a slight reddish tint.

• Sunday is the Christian day of rest. To quote Bin Laden "I am not afraid of the American threats against me," he said. "As long as I am alive there will be no rest for the enemies of Islam.

• Sunday is also 11-9 or 9-11 depending on the American or Euro standard.

Now, before I get slammed as a tinfoilist, I'm not suggesting we run around with our hands in the air screaming the sky is falling.

I'm just saying that IF they are planning an attack and that's a big if, Sunday would be an ideal time to pull it off. It will have significant religous meaning that they could capitalize on for recruitement. The next best day will be "Mohammad's night of power" that will be Tuesday, 25 November 2003. It is Laylat-al-Qadr or "The Night of Power" when Mohammad received the Quran. Also to consider is that historically, they have launched a number of attacks on Tuesday. The third most useful day will be the 23rd for the Solar eclipse.

Just be alert is all I'm saying, terrorists want something big to go down before Ramadan ends.

What you describe in your post is a good description of the islamics in the booths. I think I said they were cold. They looked at me with an iciness at one fair that made me tell my husband later that I was sure they were hating me for being a woman and not wearing a veil and for having the audacity to question them

The women are just as bad. I used to live in Europe in such a small little town, one lane bridge to get in and out, etc. Well, it was getting over run with Muslims.

I would take my daughter to the park and often times she would play with a group of kids who were Muslim. They dressed in western garb but the mothers would be dressed in that traditional get-up.

Mean as you could possibly imagine. (the mother's) and they always traveled in packs. They gave me the creeps then and that was pre-9.11.

Good summary. I have been reading this entire thread, along with several of the linked items, and my intent was to put together just such a summary. Thank you for beating me to the punch, and doing so very eloquently. Unlike you, though, I do have a particularly bad feeling about this one, which is not like me normally. I know this is not necessarily significant, but it certainly seems that this situation warrants close scrutiny.

Excellent summary. Don't forget the audio/video tapes that were released a couple weeks back. AQ may also believe that a major strike now on US soil will weaken our efforts in Iraq and Afghanastan. With regard to the eclipse, I believe its the first double during Ramadan in something like 1500 years and won't repeat for a few more centuries and that the double eclipse is supposed to signify something significant from an Islamic standpoint. I expect something big -- more along the lines of 09.11 if not greater, as opposed to something on the scale of the Cole, Oklahoma City, or the hotel in Indonesia. But I don't think Sunday 11.09 is the day because that would not produce the most casualties unless the attack were to take place at a football Stadium or arena. In that regard, I assume that either the Jets or Giants are playing at the Meadowlands. Where are the Redskins Playing? Any large sporting events in LAX this Sunday?

That's a good point R. Scott EXCEPT that those of us who have learned the lessons from history, specifically 9-11 know this:

1. Chatter increases before an attack (anywhere in the world).
2. Warnings often are given before attacks.
3. A lot of the Jihadi B.S. posted on the internet is just jihadi propaganda -- but not all of it is.

I'm a little upset that there is NOTHING from Homeland Security on this.

My imagination is going a little haywire here, thinking that there might be a 3x simultaneous nuking of NY, DC, LA on Nov. 9th... or a radiological device or something. I am seriously considering whether I want to be in the city that day... and I am not at all someone who gives credence to this kind of thing.

What's a sensible person supposed to do here?
