These are dark days for the ghouls of the gun-grabber lobby. Even though pro-freedom patriots have suffered some setbacks, in the grand scheme of things, we have them in retreat. Given that, we’re here to make the case for why everyone should have an AR-15, especially in celebration of Firearm Freedom Month.
Naturally, the AR-15 and semi-automatic firearms, in general, have been one of the gun-grabbers’ biggest goals, and they made some headway in some states. But even that will work against the left. When there is no appreciable change in crime statistics, they will lose even that argument — unless they lie.
The problem for the left is that even the left-leaning side of the Supreme Court has acknowledged in case law that these venerable rifles are popular and in common use. William Kirk from Washington Gun Law TV noted in a recent video the existence of an opinion that was authored by Justice Elena Kagan with concurring opinions from Justice Clarence Thomas and Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. At the bottom of page 13 and the top of page 14 of the opinion, Justice Kagan refers to semiautomatic rifles as follows:
Mexico here focuses on the manufacturers’ production of “military style” assault weapons, among which it includes AR-15 rifles, AK-47 rifles, and .50 caliber sniper rifles. See supra, at 6; App. to Pet. for Cert. 121a. But those products are both widely legal and bought by many ordinary consumers. (The AR-15 is the most popular rifle in the country. See T.Gross, How the AR-15 Became the Bestselling Rifle in the U. S., NPR [Apr. 20, 2023].)
The gun-grabber ghouls of the left should be reeling from that, given their demonization of what has become colloquially known as “America’s Rifle,” since that was supposed to be...

Get an ultrasonic parts cleaner, by the time you get back to the golt etc, they are clean.
What brand, how much?
A good piston set costs as much as an entry level AR15. Sure are nice though.
That’s the spirit! Now you need AR-10 variants and maybe an M1A. ;-D
I’ll have to ask her. Sjhe’s out of town until next week.
Get a gunbroker or gunsamerica account and sell there. Be sure to follow the laws in shipping etc.
So I picked up an M1 Garand - much deadlier but the Libtards have no idea.
I would say, stay away from chlorinated stuff. It’s stinky and seems to leave an odor, besides being toxic and likely more cancer causing than regular solvents.
If you want ease in cleaning bolts, I would suggest getting a nitride coated bolt and bolt carrier group. The carbon doesn’t stick as much and is easier to clean.
Places to check out stuff are
palmetto state armory dot com (mainly ar stuff) and
primary arms dot com (mainly bought optics)
no connection, other than purchases in the past
“The .38 Super has been a popular caliber in Mexico…”
I have a Lightweight Colt Commander in 38 Super. Just loaded a couple hundred HP rounds for it. It’s basically a 9mm magnum. My recipe pushes a 124 grain bullet at just under 1,200 fps.
Sure wouldn’t want to catch one of those.

Hello...
I don’t recognize the brand, but many shops purchase parts from the major tool and manufacturing places, and assemble their own firearms, and put their label on them.
If you are having feeding and ejection problems, I would make sure the bolt carrier group is well lubricated, and that the firearm had been broken in with a couple of hundred rounds of ammo. I would also suggest trying several different good quality magazines, and using several different brands of ammo, to see if that changes anything.
The final thing to check, might be the gas system and gas block, to see if it is clogged or something.
Hmmm, nothing from the brain trust. I’ll try replacing the extractor spring when it gets cold.
Advice from experience. This one was cheaper than the Ruger 556, which runs fine.
Your first should be the best, the most money you can afford. There are reasons they cost more.
“The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low cost.” Benjamin Franklin
You can only use one at a time so why more than one? Now, extra magazines is a plus.
I have an AR-10A4 carbine. A few years back I wanted to run a mild stress test and see how much I could shoot it without cleaning it. I bought some sealed battle packs of old 7.62 Portuguese surplus ammo. The answer is just shy of 250 rounds before the bolt became so fouled it would not cycle at all. Leading up to that point it started to cycle noticeably slower after around the 190 rounds.
I spent all day shooting and all night cleaning.
Fox has been running that Sandy Hook filth lately as well as trans sympathy dreck.
Just saw your post, thanks. I put a Colt M4-type, semiautomatic of course upper on it, and no problems. Colt was closing them out a few years ago, pretty good price.
It was right out of the box, lubed & oiled. Couldn’t get it to cycle so couldn’t even get a box through it.
Good advice though. Are you Patrick Sweeney? 😃 I learned a lot from that guy’s e-books.
CORE makes good, inexpensive ARs, sure this is something minor I can fix.
To keep the firearms manufacturers in business.
Actually, ar-15’s are more of a common commodity now.
Previously, semiauto firearms like ar15’s were not very common, while foreign firearms like ak-47’s were. so prices for ar15’s were averaging ~$700+, while ak’s were about $400+.
Probably sometime in the 1990’s-2000’, prices flipped, as restrictions got put on assault style weapons.
Since then, you can get reasonable entry level ar15’s for $400-500, while ak style firearms are now begining in the $800’s.
I’m just someone who has a couple of firearms, and wish rifle ammo prices came back down, so it was affordable to shoot again...
I hope you get your problem fixed... If the bcg doesn’t cycle, it may be the problem is in the gas system. I’v heard of mass produced barrels with the wrong gas port drilled in them before.
***Mexico here focuses on the manufacturers’ production of “military style” assault weapons***
Remember the 1960s when the most “E-e-e-vil guns were the 5 shot bolt action army surplus rifle and the “Saturday Night Special?
The rifle because it was “designed to kill PEOPLE!” and the SNS because it was cheap, and low priced as $12 at that time.
In reality the SNS was a target of opportunity to get gun bans started and the 5 shot bolt action Army Surplus ban was to protect the US HUNTING rifle industry from cheap competition.
Semi auto rifles have been around since 1903 and no problems were had till 1984 when the democrats cast their evil eye on them and decided to make a grab for them.
Closing the mental hospitals in the 1970s did not help as mass murders took off when they were closed and the crazies dumped on the streets.
Even Miss America 1962, enjoyed shooting an AR-15.
Okay, but ...
Love the .38 Super. Funny, but of all the one’s I’ve had the only reliable ones were SIGS, a P220 and a Stainless Match Elite 1911.
