MSNBC's Capehart Denounces Trump Keeping People 'In Cages'—Ya Mean, Like Obama?
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 07/05/2025 8:26:01 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

Jonathan Capehart was filled with virtue signaling -- um, we mean righteous indignation! -- as he opened Saturday's edition of MSNBC's The Weekend.

[snip]

apehart then shifted his outrage to Trump's immigration policies:

"The first immigrant detainees have arrived at the crudely named Alligator Alcatraz, human beings who are being kept in cages."

What kind of heartless SOB could detain not just adults, but children, in these pictured conditions, and even defend it, saying he was "proud," adding:

"If they’re good enough for our military, they’re good enough for these young people."

Truly, Trump is the most despicable, callous, cold-hearted villain ever to occupy -- no, wait. That would be Vice President Joe Biden, and these images are from the Obama-Biden administration in 2014.

Never mind!

Yeah, could be that the structure and roof system are designed to handle the wind and they built it high enough above the flood plane to avoid the flooding. If so, then the plan may simply be to shelter in place.

What isn’t understood is that those illegals at Alligator A are going to arrive and be processed out in a very short time to their country of origin.

That is why the airstrip is right beside it.

Just build the cyclone-fence walls up to 2”” short of the ceiling and call them cubicles.

We lived in AF housing at Patrick AFB about a hundred yards from the Atlantic Ocean and 8 feet above sea level.
If a hurricane threatened, the ARIA aircraft and crews were required to evacuate.
We dependents were on our own to get over the causeways and find safe shelter.

Alligator Alcatraz is like a potato chip warehouse. It gets filled to the brim during the day and emptied at night to fill delivery trucks.

Detainees are there for a very limited time awaiting transport to their final destination, never to return.

So, I’d guess in a hurricane, they just won’t fill it for a couple days.

Has Capehart called for the abolishment of prisons? If not, he is OK with invaders running free while keeping Americans in cages.

If Jon Coldheart had a heart, he would offer to take in the “caged” criminals.

Yeah, I don’t think we ever had an evacuation order. The planes were gone if any threat existed. The housing/dorms at Homestead must have weathered some pretty bad storms, pre-Andrew. Everything was cinderblock. The outside walls in the dorms were about 1/2 glass, in metal frames, from the date of construction (‘50s?) until they switched to something else, that I hated, around ‘84. Looking at the post-Andrew pics of HAFB, things got pretty ugly. If we’d been in the dorms, we’d have likely moved the partying to the leeward side of the buildings.

How was that for training?

Makes sense. Basically a secure staging area for dispatching people out of country, with a constant flow of them moving through it. If something like a hurricane happens, you pause the inflow for awhile. We can track a hurricane for a week or more in advance giving time to clear the place out.

Here’s something I cobbled together, years ago...

I keep seeing the “party switch” narrative, yet historically, the Democrats have always been the party of discrimination and racism.

Democrat Andrew Jackson was responsible for “The Trail of Tears” which displaced and tormented countless natives.

The KKK was founded by democrats. The democrats staunchly opposed the 15th amendment (unanimously supported by the republicans) guaranteeing voting rights for black men.

New England Democrat Woodrow Wilson screened pro Klan “Birth of a Nation” at the Whitehouse around 1915 which brought the diabolical organization back from the brink of dissolution.

Franklin D. Roosevelt, beloved by “progressives” was responsible for seizing property from Japanese Americans and imprisoning them in internment camps.

Margaret Sanger, adored by “progressives” referred to racial minorities as “human weeds” and advocated euthanasia of “lesser races.” Adolph Hitler, the infamous “Nationalist Socialist” credited her as the inspiration for his “final solution to the ‘Jewish Problem’.”

Republican President Eisenhower spearheaded school integration while Democrat governor Orval Faubus fought tooth and nail to maintain segregated schools. In fact, Governor Faubus ordered the Arkansas National Guard to surround Central High School to prevent the nine students from entering. Eisenhower responded by sending in federal troops to ensure the children could attend school.

The Democrats are the party of discriminatory Jim Crow laws and Eugene “Bull” Connor, who used attack dogs and firehoses to attack black voters and drive them away from polling places.

The demented Tuskegee Experiments took place from the early 1900s well into the 1970s under a succession of Democrat Governors and Mayors disguised as “free healthcare” for blacks.

It was Democrat Al Gore Sr (Mr Global Warming’s Daddy) who filibustered the civil rights act of 1964.

I will NOT repeat the disgusting racial epitaph used by Democrat Lydon B Johnson when he finally signed the civil rights act into law and stated it would solidify the black vote for Democrats.

Footage gleaned from throughout creepy Ol’ Joe Biden’s career records a laundry list of grotesquely bigoted remarks. While “Jim Crow Joe” Biden was still somewhat cognizant he explained his support of segregation was because he did not want his children to “grow up in a racial jungle.”

Hillary Clinton’s leaked emails reveal from her staff made references to Latino/Latina voters as “Taco Bowls” while Jill Biden compared Latinas “Breakfast Tacos” in a speech. While “Jim Crow Joe” Biden was still somewhat cognizant he explained his support of segregation by he did not want his children to “grow up in a racial jungle.”

There was no party switch.

A old buddy of mine owned a house for years in sight of the radome at the SE corner of Patrick AFB. He was just south of the causeway, just west of A1A. And it looks like the radome might be gone, and it is now Patrick SFB, Space Force Base.

Welcome to FL living! If a hurricane threatened, he’d evacuate inland. He had people in Orlando, a short drive inland.
