And in the most recent update, delivered last week, DOGE revealed that a total of 12.3 million individuals listed as 120+ years old were now officially marked as deceased in the system

The premises of the article are incorrect. This was the file of all the SS numbers issued, which was used to insure each SS number was unique. The deceased field was not used for anything, so nobody bothered to update hit.
The payments were made based on different files of active recipients. Yes, there is some fraud, but updating this file makes absolutely no difference.
If you want to know how the process actually works, you have to read the code. But the DOGE boys would have to say COBOL est, ignotus mihi!

This is probably the pool of the numbers that the illegals have been using to game the system. It will be interesting to see what shakes out.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say that the 110-120 age bracket can also be removed. The five people in the country still alive in that age bracket can re-apply with our apologies.
