Robert F. Kennedy Jr., now serving as Secretary of Health and Human Services under President Trump, made waves on Monday when he joined Sean Hannity for an interview at a Florida Steak ‘n Shake location.
The two conservative powerhouses dug into burgers and fries while discussing the real health crisis gripping America—one caused by decades of government-endorsed junk science that pushed seed oils and ultra-processed foods on the public.
Earlier this year, Steak ‘n Shake announced that by February 2025, all its locations will transition away from vegetable oil—a product long criticized for its links to inflammation, obesity, and chronic disease.

Never been to a Steak and Shake.
Are they any good?
I wonder if there is a huge taste difference .
They are definitely in the top 100,000.
True enough, but if they ran a CGM for a month, they'd see exactly what their diet is doing to BG.
They would, however, separately need to learn what ideal BG is, vs. Standard of Don't Care ‘normal’.
Back in the day (60’s & 70’s for Me) Mc Donald’s Fries were the best !!!
The whole family stayed thin...of course us kids were off to the playground...until the street lights came on. Fruit was usually canned.
Sandwiches ranged from PB&J to Tuna to Onion...to Maple Syrup...Of course the Italian kids had salami sandwiches. Never had salami until I met my Italian husband.
Then along came Campbells soups...with all its salt...I no longer buy canned soups...
I stopped listening to “experts” on food decades ago.
First wine is bad for you. Then it is good. Then it is bad again.
Same with coffee, eggs, meat, milk, butter, just about everything.
The thing that really pissed me off was oatmeal. I never had a great liking for oatmeal, but they all told you to eat it, it would lower your cholesterol, you name it.
I finally ended up eating a bowl of it every day. A quarter cup raw, with raisins and cinnamon, and I grew to like it.
When I went to an endocrinologist a couple of years ago, he told me not to eat oatmeal. I must have stared at him with a “WTF?” look.
I don’t alter my diet anymore on advice from the experts.
Valid points but getting obese sugar-stuffed Americans to a healthy diet will require small sustainable steps, ad this is one of them.
Good old fsshion diet should come back...Meat potatoes, vegies slice of bread, milk

Unfortunately, sellers add retinol (a type of vitamin a) to skim milk, forced by the government. The body can store a lot of vitamin a and if you don’t have a deficiency, consuming supplements harms you (allergies, depression, bone problems).
Yup, RFK Jr is already making the world a better place, one french fry after another.
Can’t wait for the fish and chips.
Hog lard is great for Ramadan! Fried pork skins are also a great snack during the day.
I drink whole milk only..and half and half in my coffee.
I just went to a local butcher down the street from me Friday and asked for some beef fat… got 20# for $10. Next time I will probably just get 10# lol… but I ended up with just over 6qts of tallow.
I eat eggs 6 times a week, so that should drop my chances of heart disease by 100%.
FULLY AGREE! They are the LEAST reliable source on the internet, IMHO.
Still though, even a broken clock gets the time right twice a day. That's about the success rate for GP
Haven’t had S & S for a few years, but yes, they were good. Had a platter meal that came with baked beans along with your burger, and those very thin French fries.
I would compare the burgers and fries to being pretty similar to Freddy’s, if you are familiar with Freddy’s foods.
Nope, just an ordinary person who's long thought that there might be an ideal human diet.
I contribute to a self-directed health program, and find myself being the FAQ guy.
re: I've been avoiding carbs since September. I'm not perfect, but it is doable.
It's ancestral. But don't go too low. Chronic keto, for example, is rarely ideal, being too low in MAC/prebiotic/soluble/resistant carbs.
I like the way you think :-)
Stopped at “two conservative powerhouses”, can’t stop laughing. Almost as funny as “conservative Supreme Court “.
Would like to know what other companies are switching to beef tallow.
