A Virginia high school sprinter suffered a concussion and potential skull fracture when her competitor smashed her in the back of her head with a relay baton during their race.
Brookville High School junior Kaelen Tucker was the second leg runner for the 4×200 meter relay at the VHSL Class 3 State Indoor Championships at Liberty University on Friday.
Tucker – who had earned silver in the girl’s 55m dash earlier in the meet – was attempting to cut into lane one during a battle for second place in the front pack as she was rounding turn four.

That’s a pleasant surprise. In my long teaching career, I’ve seen a few students get arrested. But the consequences are always zero.
One student - I’ll call him David - was arrested for beating the crap out of a fellow teacher. The teacher’s sin? She asked David why he came to class late that day.
David was arrested. And he was suspended from school. So you can imagine my surprise when - two weeks later - I saw David back in school.
As to the teacher David attacked, she took an early retirement.
And many of the students/children so indulged are now in positions of great power... with predictable results. The proper raising of children, including immediate and memorable punishment for unacceptable behavior, is essential to a stable, advanced civilization. Neglected children lead to a crumbling society.
Tonya harding come out of retirement?
Time to hold people responsible for their actions. Prosecute to the fullest extent of the law and do so consistently for a couple of years and maybe they will start to reign in their impulses.

In my daughter’s high school two girls got into it. The next day their mother’s showed up and started ripping out each other’s hair weaves and finger nails. The police were called no charges filed. Obama’s America.
Looks like they’re wearing the same uniform and on the same team even.
Poor impulse control leading to immediate violence. In certain cultures, parents pass it on to their kids.
Many kids are quite violent by nature, kicking, hitting, throwing objects at others. Part of life. Parents need to teach empathy, backed up by pain if necessary: A hard wack on the butt, followed by, “How does it feel? Well, the kid you hit hurts, too. That’s how you made him feel. Remember that! And don’t do it again!”
Certain cultures don’t teach that, because the parents are just as bad. Generations of poor impulse control and violence.
Btw, Grok says in a hich school meet, it was likely an aluminum baton, and that a strong hit could kill the person.
Says it could cause concussion and possibly skull fracture.
Duh.
I think hard blows to the back of the head should ALWAYS require filing a charge of attempted murder. Including the “Knockout Game,” played by certain cultures.
Head on a swivel, and always carry.
All we need are "sensible" baton laws!

Are you talking about Shanika Serdahl?
For many, it’s the only way to rise above and out of the ‘hood.
Please speculate at the presuppositions required for this
sentence to be reasonable.
I think we both know the answer to that question.
No need to look.
Hood rats gotta hood rat.
When you watch the video you can clearly see the young lady who was attacked and her parents are not hood rats. They may even be MAGA.
Friends of Obama
Until these kids in school stop being protected and have to face the consequences of their ADULT actions, nothing is going to change.
They need to be arrested and charged and prosecuted for assault with intent to whatever.
Just like the thefts. They do it because they can get away with and and they know it.
What’s her NAME AND PICTURE?
To my knowledge, the name and picture of the suspect has not been released. She needs to be tried as an adult. And if they do this, that information will be released.
