Video Summary:
Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, newly appointed chairman of a congressional task force on government transparency, announced an ambitious initiative aimed at declassifying key federal records. She framed the effort as a historic step toward restoring trust in government and ensuring the American people receive long-denied truths.
Luna highlighted former President Donald Trump’s recent commitment to declassify files related to the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr. She emphasized that transparency is essential to democracy and pledged that her task force, working under the House Oversight Committee, would aggressively pursue declassification without allowing bureaucratic obstacles or stonewalling to hinder progress.
The task force’s investigations will cover several high-profile topics, including the JFK, RFK, and MLK assassinations, unidentified aerial and submerged phenomena (UAPs and USOs), Jeffrey Epstein’s client list, the origins of COVID-19, and 9/11-related files. Luna assured bipartisan involvement, stating that both Republican and Democratic lawmakers are invested in uncovering the truth. The task force will collaborate with the White House, the Department of Defense, the Department of Justice, and intelligence agencies to ensure access to classified materials.
Luna vowed that the committee would be action-oriented, distinguishing it from past congressional efforts that produced little more than strongly worded letters. The first hearing is scheduled for March, with JFK’s assassination as the initial focus. She hinted at skepticism toward the official "single bullet" theory and suggested evidence points to multiple shooters.
Responding to questions, Luna reaffirmed that the task force will resist any attempts to suppress declassification efforts, even if they come from within the administration or intelligence community. If agencies obstruct their work, she pledged to expose their resistance to the public.
Regarding UAPs, she criticized the longstanding secrecy and misinformation surrounding the topic, arguing that members of Congress—who fund national security programs—should not be denied access to relevant intelligence. She noted that there is growing bipartisan support for addressing UAP transparency.
On 9/11, Luna stated that the task force will seek to uncover what intelligence agencies knew in advance and why some information has remained classified. She argued that withholding information breeds conspiracy theories and that the American people deserve full disclosure to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Luna also briefly addressed sanctuary cities and illegal immigration, suggesting the task force may scrutinize the coordination and funding behind large-scale migrant resettlement.
The congresswoman concluded by inviting whistleblowers to come forward with credible information, ensuring that hearings would be open to the public and that the task force would pursue transparency without political bias.
Why is he passing this off to the congress when he said his administration would do it? Consider this in light of his withholding the files during his first term, despite saying he would release them. Why all this maneuvering over something that has been lingering for 60 years? It just seems like there's some type of reluctance there. Could it be that there will be redactions that the public will not be happy to see after all these years?
“Definitely good to get congress on board.”

Yes, we need more self-serving, publicity seeking, unresponsive politicians to drag things out for another couple of years. /sarc
“Right out of the gate Luna said she believes there were two shooters in the JFK killing.”

We’re not interested in what she thinks or feels. Her job is not to speculate; its simply to release the files/documents to the public as quickly and efficiently as possible instead of milking the moment for publicity.
Are we interested in the docs she has seen and the testimony she has heard?
It's all very predictable.

It is. And it’s been that way since the JFK coverup.
“Are we interested in the docs she has seen and the testimony she has heard?”

The JFK assassination was a very complex event with LOTS of moving parts. Countless books have been written on it and there are a bewildering amount of facts, related historical documents, extremely detailed analyses, and theories out there. I’d rather she get on with the task of getting the docs out there and let knowledgeable researchers (there are many of them) analyze the new information. I don’t believe she has anything close to the deep levels of knowledge that others have.
People in congress opine too much on everything regardless of their lack of expertise. They think they’re experts in everything. The only thing they do well is self-promotion.
