On Saturday the US Army released the name of the pilot of the US Army Blackhawk helicopter that flew into a passenger jet landing at Reagan National Airport.
The crash was on Wednesday. The third pilot’s name, Rebecca Lobach, was finally released on Saturday, three days later.
All 64 passengers in the jet were killed. The three pilots in the Blackhawk helicopter also died in the explosive crash.

After withholding at the request of the family the name of the female pilot killed in the mid-air collision Wednesday night between an Army Black Hawk helicopter and a PSA/American Airlines passenger plane on final approach to Reagan National Airport near Washington, D.C., the Army issued a statement Saturday afternoon from her family identifying the pilot as 28-year-old Capt. Rebecca Lobach from Durham, N.C.
The other two soldiers killed in the crash previously identified by the Army are Staff Sgt. Ryan Austin O’Hara, 28, of Lilburn, Georgia, and Chief Warrant Officer 2 Andrew Loyd Eaves, 39, of Great Mills, Maryland.
Lobach was part of a three-man crew flying a training mission for “continuity of government” down the Potomac River when the collision occurred, killing all three crew members on the Black Hawk based at nearby Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and all 60 passengers and four crew members on the flight out of Wichita, Kansas.
Lobach, who had over 450 hours of flying experience, recently served as a military social aide at the Biden White House.
It took the US Army and Rebecca’s family three days to scrub her social media accounts. They really don’t want the public to know anything about this female pilot.

You got that right. The only thing we know at this point -- the ONLY thing -- is that two intersecting aircraft were at the same altitude when they shouldn't have been. That's it. This young lady may very well be at fault, but we don't know yet. Just look at all the judgement on this site -- thread after thread.
I have noticed that CFP has been quiet about Rebecca Lobach being the pilot since it was announced last night. Hopefully, Kane is busy as usual digging into this.

In this construction, "female" is an adjective modifying "pilot." The construction calls for the compound noun instead, "woman pilot."
Astonishingly, you see the same error in virtually every headline re: this incident.
Apparently they no longer teach grammar in journalism school (or anywhere else).
I’ll just say what some are thinking. She worked the WH under Joe Biden. There may or may not be a lezbo relationship. Was she one who was transferred to another position(obviously military)? Did she hold a grudge and did she possibly do this on purpose because the reason she might do this is being withheld?
Speculation happens when facts aren’t forthcoming. Her name should have been released with the others and then very few would have so many questions. Face it, scrubbing her online activity is stupid and asking for accusations.
This is exactly why they delayed identification of this individual. They wanted to scrub everything they could,but it was too late Trump and those close to him know everything about her. And this is the reason Trump was so angry during that news conference.
Regardless of whether the blame falls on the pilot or the ATC, the Government, or all three, WE (US Taxpayers!) will pay the cost................
We do know something else—some folks are trying to hide this woman’s social media history.
What we do not know is who did it and why?
Everyone should want to know the answer to those questions.
