Victor Davis Hanson Explains Why He Thinks Tom Homan Is Targeting Major Dem City First For Deportations
DC Enquirer ^ | 22 Dec 2024 | Hailey Gomez

Hoover Institution senior fellow Victor Davis Hanson said Thursday that incoming border czar Tom Homan is starting with Democratic Chicago to deport illegal immigrants in order to set a precedent for other cities threatening to block his efforts.

Since President-elect Donald Trump’s nomination of Homan as border czar, the former Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) acting director has warned Democratic mayors to step aside as some have threatened to refuse cooperation with ICE on mass deportations. On “The Victor Davis Hanson Show,” Hanson compared Homan’s focus on Chicago to Voltaire’s reference to British Admiral John Byng’s death, using it as a lesson to others due to being killed by his own troops.

...

Hanson argued that Homan’s focus on Democratic Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson will set a precedent, emphasizing that the incoming border czar is listening to Democratic constituents concerned about illegal immigration in their city.

Chicago is most ripe for that. Won’t turn it red but it will get the most attention. Double whammy. The mayor is a f-—kup and so is their Jabba the Hut Governor. Durbin’s up too and he’s old. An opening? Think Lt. Dan or the last gov. Bago who’s outside looking in. He just needs to agree with Trump on a few big issues like illegals.

Gee, I wonder why? Could it be because the rodent run cities are full of illegal aliens?
Asking for a nation sick and tired of illegal aliens.

Garland just met with officials and politicians in Portland.
I will guess he is setting up a resistance to all things Trump.

Oh and, Gentlemen, start your shredders.

Here’s another. How will the cops cooperate with the feds when instructed not to? I’m sure they’ll do the right thing.

At his inauguration Trump should ask them all-do you wanna work for me?

“How will the cops cooperate with the feds when instructed not to? I’m sure they’ll do the right thing.”

People are required to file 1040s in a timely manner. You just can’t send the IRS a check for the correct amount. And you have to sign the 1040 too.

Employers are required to file I-9s.

State and city governments have to supply the federal government with W-2s and 1099-Gs.

The federal government may require people to report information.

The time when states could admit who they wanted ended in 1808.

I see 2 things going on here:

“If they can attack Chicago and win, we have to capitulate” thinking from smaller town mayors or governors.

And also, if they can whack the big cities, that lessons the places that illegals could go to “hide out”, and as a result they might self-deport. Saving us money.

If he wants to set precedents, start in Texas and a dozen other states where he will have the full support of state and local officials, the state AG, and the state police and National Guard. Move on to Chicago simultaneously perhaps, but he might do well to have the template locked into place first. It needn't be a long delay.

As the crackdown hits in red states, watch for the first illegal to flee to a blue sanctuary city. The moment one is spotted, a grassroots citizen's group in Illinois should sue the Trump DHS saying that they are being discriminated against by not being prioritized for deportations. This would, of course, be an entirely independent grassroots group. The complaint should already be written, with the jurisdictions left blank so they can be filled in once the battleground is selected. The Trump DHS and DOJ would enter into a settlement agreeing to all demands 15 minutes after the suit is filed. Surely there's at least one non-Soros judge downstate who would accept the consent agreement before the ink was dry. This is how the dems do it.

Now we would have a fait accompli running in red states, a consent agreement that is now settled law, and we move on to other targets to flood the zone.

Does Trump want to deport illegal aliens or does he want to fight for the sake of fighting? The dems are going to seek injunctions to stop the deportations whatever Trump does. Then they will slow walk proceedings. Establish some facts on the ground before getting locked into a legal struggle for Stalingrad Chicago.

Illinois is not as blue as they want you to think. They had Republican governors for about 25 years before Blagojevich. And, a republican gov. before pigster. Plus some republican senators sprinkled in over the last 30 years.

Clean out chicago and clean up the voter rolls and I would bet IL turns purple at least. Removing the illegals could be what is needed to do so.

The Assyrians used a similar tactic by stacking all the heads collected in the first city that refused capitulation in front of the next town, so the population could best evaluate their options. Homan only has to collect a few, governors, mayors, city councilors, and such, and display them figuratively.

The front line Chicago Police and Fire hate the mayor.

Blacks in Chicago hate the illegals.

Any of the above would gladly turn in illegals and support the incarceration of the governor or mayor.

Doesn’t matter where they start. They will do it in Texas too. plenty of Democrat mayors and leftist judges there too.

Leftists talk big and when they have the power they bully people. Like all bullies, they are cowards. Put one big city mayor in jail and the rest will capitulate quicker than you can say Barack Obama.

Needs to be a bounty on illegals to help him with the cause.
