If he wants to set precedents, start in Texas and a dozen other states where he will have the full support of state and local officials, the state AG, and the state police and National Guard. Move on to Chicago simultaneously perhaps, but he might do well to have the template locked into place first. It needn't be a long delay.

As the crackdown hits in red states, watch for the first illegal to flee to a blue sanctuary city. The moment one is spotted, a grassroots citizen's group in Illinois should sue the Trump DHS saying that they are being discriminated against by not being prioritized for deportations. This would, of course, be an entirely independent grassroots group. The complaint should already be written, with the jurisdictions left blank so they can be filled in once the battleground is selected. The Trump DHS and DOJ would enter into a settlement agreeing to all demands 15 minutes after the suit is filed. Surely there's at least one non-Soros judge downstate who would accept the consent agreement before the ink was dry. This is how the dems do it.

Now we would have a fait accompli running in red states, a consent agreement that is now settled law, and we move on to other targets to flood the zone.

Does Trump want to deport illegal aliens or does he want to fight for the sake of fighting? The dems are going to seek injunctions to stop the deportations whatever Trump does. Then they will slow walk proceedings. Establish some facts on the ground before getting locked into a legal struggle for Stalingrad Chicago.

Doesn’t matter where they start. They will do it in Texas too. plenty of Democrat mayors and leftist judges there too.
