Will Israeli air strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities spark a larger shooting war between the two belligerent countries?
Any aerial attack by Israel against Iran would be difficult. Israel has no long-range bombers to hit the nuclear sites that are over 1,000 miles away. Jet fighters would require a significant number of bunker-busting bombs that may have limited efficacy. The Israeli jets would need to be re-fueled, and the air force has limited means to conduct these operations (except for re-fashioned 707 tankers). The Israelis would have to fly over Iraqi air space, which is anathema to Baghdad. Plus, the United States does not support Israeli strikes against Iran for fear of sparking a larger war in the region.

They end the treat of Muslim terrorists destroying the world.
Blowing up the sites is not going to trigger a nuclear explosion.
And so what if it does.
Better them than me.
IMHO the Ezekiel 38 war is regional
Sheba and Dedan (Saudi Arabia) protests the Ezekiel 38 invasion - which perfectly fits Sunni Saudi Arabia fighting Shia Iran in Yemen (Iran-backed Houthis)
While Armageddon is ALL nations coming to battle at the Valley of Jezreel (Megiddo)
Ezekiel 38:13
King James Version
13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

LATTER YEARS / LATTER DAYS
Ezekiel 38:8
King James Version
8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
Ezekiel 38:16
King James Version
16 And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

Crazy how the No Nukes concerts the SANE Freeze coalition and all those hyperbolic anti nuke protests silently ...faded....away since the madmen in N Korea China Iran have nukes of their own
Israel bombed Saddam Hussein’s nuclear sites.
“Do you think Iran is currently trying to develop a nuclear weapon?”
No, I think they already have some.
are they going to make more, probably yes
It will prevent Iran from starting a nuclear war, so just do it.
Iran learned from that, which is probably why they are far below ground.
Regardless, the only thing the savages in Iranian leadership understand is the viable threat of force. Biden has welcomed Iranian aggression, and Israel is paying for it. Israel would be correct in bombing Iran back into the stone age (which isn't a far trip for them).
Very much doubt Israel would depend on a long range bombing or missile attack on Iranian nuclear facilities to defend itself. Israel has, as demonstrated with key assassinations, a highly effective clandestine Mossad operation within Iran. When the mullahs came to power they forced most Iranian Jews to leave. Iranian Jews were very active in the construction business especially in the supply of materials. Strongly suspect that most nuclear facilities constructed over the last forty years have generous amounts of C4 explosives deeply embedded. If it is clear a nuclear attack on Israel is imminent, suspect there will be numerous unexplained explosions prior to launch.
Also this business that Iran is within a short time to construct such a weapon is nonsense. Pakistan with less industrial capacity assembled a nuclear weapon very quickly after India featured one. Iran probably already has nuclear weapons. So far the mullahs have not prepared a launch or have they supplied a nuclear weapon to any of their surrogates. They realize that if they do, the consequences for them and Iran would be indescribable.
Just for clarification, the “Iran’s Nuclear Sites” discussed in the article include “nuclear research reactors, a uranium conversion plant, and a fuel production plant.” The conversion plant and the production plant contain uranium, but not highly radioactive fission products. The research reactors do have fission products but in much smaller amounts than at a full-size nuclear power reactor (like Chernobyl). Iran has one operating nuclear power plant that was not mentioned as a possible target in the article.
The Israeli jets would need to be re-fueled, and the air force has limited means to conduct these operations (except for re-fashioned 707 tankers). The Israelis would have to fly over Iraqi air space, which is anathema to Baghdad.

Everybody hates Iran, including its “citizens”. Israelis getting permission to overfly other Arab countries might not be too hard to get. Been done before if memory serves me correctly.
Once it was established that Iran had a nuke, they would get a visit from B-2s packing (two each) GBU-57s. Penetrates to >240 feet. Then the Israelis would come in to mop up the smaller stuff.
We sent that THAAD
—
Was always there, stationed in the Nagev - it simply got activated.
But they have to get them out. I’m sure they know where the holes are.
If Israel were to attack Iran and try to bomb nuclear sites or any other place, Iran would immediately launch a hypersonic missile attack on Israel, probably in coordination with Hetzbollah and the result would be probably total devastation of Israel.
Is the Pope a Communist?
They already launched two massive missile attacks including ballistic missiles and it came to nothing. With nukes attached, that would have been a very bad day.
In the past the Saudis have offered their airspace for just such an attack, including using their land for staging, and practically begged Israel to do it.
The easiest targets are the refineries. An attack that puts them out of operation for months would break the back of their economy. Rebuilding them under sanctions would be very difficult.
Iran would almost certainly respond with nukes, which is why Israel must take down those sites as well.
