Massive Shift to Trump of RFK Jr. Endorses Him, Poll Reveals
Daily Fetched ^ | August 23, 2024 | Jason Walsh

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. officially withdrew from the 2024 presidential race this week as rumors swirl that he is about to throw his support behind former President Donald Trump.

Kennedy’s running mate, Nicole Shanahan, revealed on Tuesday that the campaign is mulling over aligning with Trump.

“There’s two options that we’re looking at,” Shanahan said earlier this week.

The first involves staying in the race, or “we walk away right now and join forces with Donald Trump,” Shanahan explained.

Pollster Rich Baris said Trump could inherit a significant portion of Kennedy’s supporters, with surveys suggesting that 40% of Kennedy’s backers would pivot to Trump if Kennedy exits.

That number could jump over 60% with Kennedy’s endorsement, while Vice President Kamala Harris might capture about a quarter of his base,

“I think it was a coronation, it’s not democracy. Nobody voted. Who chose Kamala? It wasn’t voters,” RFK Jr. told ABC News about the convention.

“She [Kamala] went in four weeks from being the worst liability for the Democratic Party to the second coming of Christ without giving one interview, without showing up for a debate, without a single policy that anyone thinks isn’t ridiculous. It’s not democracy.”

Independents have surpassed Democrats in number and even briefly outstripped Republicans as the largest voter group last year, according to Axios.

The cohort has consistently made up more than a quarter of general election voters over the last decade.

The independent label is broad, it doesn’t guarantee uniform support for independent candidates.

Arizona’s independents span a large spectrum of political beliefs, making them a crucial yet unpredictable factor in any election.

However, no independent candidate has ever won a state-level or federal office in Arizona. As both camps prepare for Friday’s events, eyes will be on Kennedy’s next move.

“My guess is the CIA would slow walk anything he would try to do with regards to the JFK assassination.”

Not if RFK’s first job is to clean house at the CIA. All new people.

Arizona (except for the Navajo reservation) stays on standard time year-round. 4 PM MST is 7 PM EDT.

Could someone at least have corrected the headline before this was posted? Asking for a friend.

“Independents have surpassed Democrats in number and even briefly outstripped Republicans as the largest voter group last year, according to Axios.”

The fact that Democrats are the smallest faction in the country, yet they “win” the popular vote for Presidency every time is prima facie evidence that they cheat on a massive scale.

I think that is a fair assessment.

A little over half go to Trump.

Comrade Kammy doesn’t get even half of what Trump gets.

And 15 per cent disappear into the nether, nether.

I thought I read that Kennedy was promoting cutting thru red tape and Trump suggested a department to slice the Fed with Kennedy being a prime candidate for that post.

Trump would not have played up the “surprise” if RFK did not accept the offer. That would be stupid.

Yup. He and Trump need to agree on his assigned roles and responsibilities and stay in his lane.

Finally, RFK Jr. is only on our side on maybe 20% of the issues. Otherwise, he's a hard core leftist.

I wouldn't call him a Leftist. A liberal? Yes.

Yes, there are areas where I don’t agree with him but on many many issues, he is an ally rather than an enemy.

Exactly, and since he’s willing to take on the DS, more power to him.
