DALLAS, TX — Sources at the Grady household reported this weekend that Bill Grady scrambled for an explanation when his wife Cara caught him watching a WNBA game on his phone.
Grady was closely watching a game between the Indiana Fever and the Chicago Sky in his man cave when Cara walked into the room. A flustered Bill reportedly fumbled to close out of the game in a frantic attempt to hide what he was doing.
"It's not what it looks like!" he insisted as Cara stood staring at him in surprise. "I was… I was just, uh, playing Wordle! I definitely wasn't doing what you think I was doing, especially if you think I was watching a WNBA game. That would be ridiculous…yeah, totally ridiculous."
Bill laughed nervously as his wife continued to stare. "Bill…how could you?" Cara asked. "A WNBA game? I never expected to walk in here and find you doing something so shameful."
"It's Caitlin Clark, honey!" Bill blurted out. "Everybody's watching the games now! There's nothing to be ashamed of! They're athletes just like anyone else…except it looks like the games are played at half-speed and it's all just layups and awkward jump shots."
At publishing time, Bill Grady had sought counseling from a professional to deal with his problem.

Clip-wise, I’ve probably watched twenty times WNBA action this year. Two observations....lot of turning the ball over (I bet there’s 30 violations a game...but never called). Lot of traveling violations (I would guess one violation every three minutes of game-time).
Not quiet as obvious with NCAA girls basketball.
It is the Welfare NBA.
Without massive NBA subsidies the players would be on street corners hooking.
They both need to see other men, LOL!
It’s fascinating to watch them dribble...
The Bee again...
Hahahahahaha! I burst out laughing just reading the headline!!!!!!
You're referring to the WNBA players? Including Brtiney Griner?
...with little success.
"You told me you weren't going to watch any more of those lesbian videos."
"I'm not, Honey. It's the WNBA."
"Same thing!"
“I just watch it for the advertisements.”
Or the 80s version of...
“I just read it for the articles.”
Well. I have never had even a bit of interest in the WNBA, and even less now, but...ya gotta hand it to the Babylon Bee! When you said "same thing" it reminded me of this clip from the Babylon Bee about the Woke Boeing:
It’s certainly fascinating to watch Angel Reese try to dribble. Doh!
I was reading the other day how viewership by black males has skyrocketed since the white woman, Caitlin Clark came on board.
Women's college BB is much better than the WNBA - not sure why, but doesn't seem as thuggish and generally has better execution.
Finally I caught the end of the game between Indiana and Chicago. Caitlin can play. But no one else can. Christie Sides do not know how to coach, she's over her head.
“Christie Sides does not know how to coach”. I would agree, her team had won four out their last five games and she changes the starting lineup. Lexi Hull is coming off of a 10 point game and she plays maybe 8 minutes. If I was Fever management, I would fire Sides, beg Lisa Bluder to come out retirement to coach, trade for Kate Martin and sign Gabby Marshall to a contract. Gabby’s only 5’9”, but she can guard like a wolverine on PED’s and can catch the ball and make three pointers.
If they want us to take the WNBA seriously, then they need to do this.
It'll be interesting to see what happens. Caitlin might be better off playing in Europe. Fans love Caitlin. But they may give up on watching the WNBA if they see that Caitlin continues to be treated unfairly.
On Sides, I agree.
Her salary? $500k a year.
That’s a joke.
