Cats have always been known for their mysterious and independent nature. They can be a source of unconditional love and comfort for their humans, but they also possess a streak of cunning and aloofness. In a recent incident, a homeowner found himself locked out of his house, with the keys safely inside. Little did he know, his feline companions held the power to either let him in or leave him stranded outside.

My sister is of the Russian Orthodox persuasion. I think she converted from the Roman version during all the years she lived in Alaska and was married to a Czech. She even learned how to make Pysanky eggs and did some gorgeous ones.

I think she’s too ill to go to services, now.

I’m sorry to hear about the Princess Dog. She’s probably all embarrassed and stuff. Poor baby.

Mrs. ArGee’s paternal grandmother made those eggs. There are some that will be part of the family inheritance.

Not something you want to see on your tour.

Some of those eggs are absolutely exquisite. I was in awe of them, and for a brief moment, thought I would like to make some. Until I found out how long it took to make just one.

So I’m in awe of anyone who makes them or has them. Family inheritance, indeed! Lucky family!

Done with all the work that needed to be done. The door is open, the sun is shining, and I feel like I really need a nice long nap. However, I’ll wait until bedtime for that. ;o]

I have done this and that. Now that the car is inspected - and the brake fluid changed - I can pay the registration fee.

My registration won’t be due for eight months, and I hope it’s a lot cheaper than the first one was!

I can’t imagine the Raisin being too much more than that, since it’s already past the smog test age.

I’m worried about my DL, now, since its coming up next week! ERK! I gotta do that Friday for sure!

Good morning. Happy Twosday.

WE had thunderstorms last night, which makes the Princess nervous. I put her out about 1am so she could get up on the bed with us. But if it’s not going to calm her down to be up on the bed then I fail to see the point.

Yesterday afternoon I convinced F-I-L to let us give his car to his son’s daughter. We were holding off on selling it in the hopes that the son could buy it. Now we just need to arrange for him to come get it. I’ll be glad to be parking my car in the garage again.

Mrs. ArGee is getting her suicidal tooth extracted this morning. So I’m on Princess duty until she gets back. At least they won’t be using a general so I don’t have to be the driver.

And then there’s this. Interesting first three letters.

That looks like the old mouser we had when I was growing up. Only it wasn’t as cute as that when it showed up at our door.

Good morning. I hope you had a good night, and that the Almost Invisible Jake didn’t bother you.

There is nothing planned for today except to put away the Unmentionables and send a message to the doctor about the nitroglycerin spray.

It will be 84° today! :o])

Mrs. ArGee is back from having her tooth removed. She’ll tell me later how she’s feeling.

We had more thunder. The poor Princess has been hiding in the bathroom. But I think it’s over.

https://thundershirt.com/products/thundershirt-for-dogs

This is what I would recommend for the Princess. She’s obviously more frightened than she’s letting on (dogs do that) and this would help to ease her fears.

I couldn’t afford a thundershirt for Jocko, but what I did have was a small, flexible carrier. He got so that at the first indication of a thunder storm, he would head for that carrier and wait for me to zip him into it. It was too small for him, but it was a life-saver in a T-storm!

You may be able to find one cheaper than this site, but the principle is the same.

Good luck on the car-giving deal!

I’m sorry about the suicidal tooth. All my wisdom teeth were that way.

Not being a cat owner myself, I can't relate. I'm not sure if all the cat owners here have similar experiences.

I hope Mrs. ArGee will be happier, post-dentistry. Vlad is at the orthodontist, and I’m lounging in the lobby in case he needs me.

Not bad, thanks. Jake was happy to see me when my alarm went off.

I planted green beans, zucchini, and beets this morning. I still need Japanese eggplant.

I’m glad you got some planting done! I keep thinking I’d like to plant some beets, but there are no areas in my yard where I can do it.

I have some Three Sisters seeds, and I still want to plant those, but see above. Maybe by next year I can figure something out.

I’ll have to get a net because I really need to take Chip to the vet, soon. It may be his FIV is flaring up, and that’s not good.
