Cats have always been known for their mysterious and independent nature. They can be a source of unconditional love and comfort for their humans, but they also possess a streak of cunning and aloofness. In a recent incident, a homeowner found himself locked out of his house, with the keys safely inside. Little did he know, his feline companions held the power to either let him in or leave him stranded outside.

I’m hoping everything works out for your mother and that your adrenaline kicks in when your muscles want to fail!
I hope your mother adjusts well to the two-stage move. Those things get harder as we age.
I’m grateful to be where I am, and don’t anticipate another move. I don’t want to pack again. I have too many books.
We’re back! Vlad’s team was 2nd, Frank’s was 9th. Our middle school teams were 4th (girls) and 5th (boys).
Kathleen’s not home from her friends yet. We unexpectedly have to play for Mass tomorrow, because Don Manuel is poorly, so I’m organizing very familiar songs we’ve done in the last few weeks.
Congratulations to the teams! Good job!
It’s good that you have some songs to fall back on at times like these.
Sweet little cali!
Good morning. I hope you’re rested up this morning.
I was up a couple of hours in the middle of the night, so I slept in. That’s two Sundays in a row that I’m not going to church. Darn it! If it weren’t so cold in here I’d try to take a shower right away, but the bathroom won’t be warm in time.
It’s a chilly 45° right now, with a high expected of 72°. The rest of the week is going to be sunny days in the 80s and chilly nights.
Good morning. Tired after a busy couple of days, but I’ll perk up in time for church. Jake wanted me to get up early and feed him.
It’s warm here today.
I'd love to be able to say that.
Now, I'm going to go take a shower and hope I feel better. I'll have to put away the clothes I set out yesterday before heading down the hall. Again.
Maybe next week it will work!
Got my pages ready. Tom brought doughnuts and his laundry and leftover chicken curry from the Festival of India in Matthews yesterday. He said that, as he and his friends were leaving, a vendor who was packing up said, “Here, take some chicken curry!
Take as much as you can carry!”
I sit on my sofa about once a week and think about how good a greasy cheeseburger would taste, or something from a good salad bar, or even something from Del Taco. After groceries and other necessities, there just doesn't seem to be enough left for that.
Maybe, once I get past this six-month high car insurance thing...
That kitty would be me, but this is Monday!
Good morning. I hope you had a restful Sunday and a good night’s sleep. How did the choir turn out?
I need to get some brekkity and head out. It’s a little warmer this morning, but will reach 80° this afternoon.
Maybe I’ll be able to take a nap this morning. I hope.
Good morning. Choir went very well yesterday. We had the Nicaraguan priest. He goes on and on! All very edifying and all, and personally, I don’t mind, but I really feel for those who have children with them.
Tom was gone when we got home.
Done with the laundry! No mishaps today!
Now I’m going to try for a short nap! I hope it works!
Good luck with the move. At my age (no longer mid-life) I hire help from U-Haul.
Good morning. Happy Monday.
It’s a little gloomy here, but warm. I’ll take it.
The Princess has become a tad incontinent due to one of the pills we have to give her so she’ll tolerate the pills that are supposed to heal her liver. So we’ll be walking her more. We’re not to diapers ... yet.
F-I-L was upset that I don’t want to sit (stand) through the Russian Orthodox service any more just because his wife thinks people are complaining about me not being a member. But they made it through OK yesterday. At least, they found something else to be upset about. Yesterday was Eastern Palm Sunday and all those strangers and the packed Church made it “a disaster.” So he got to transfer his upset. And since he’s gonna be grumpy about something, that was a good choice.
The Orthodox have an interesting Easter tradition of starting the service at like 11pm on Saturday night. There’s a coffin in the sanctuary to represent the dead Jesus. Then at midnight, everyone goes out and walks around the Church 3 times to represent the 3 days. When they come back in the coffin is gone and everything is decorated for celebration.
Naturally, the nonagenarians won’t be attending that. Maybe by the Sunday after all those strangers will be gone.
And after a 5 and a 3 over the weekend, I got another 3 at Wordle today.

Good morning. I hope you have a good week in spite of the stuff.
Good Morning!
After a week of trying the new vowel-laden starter word, I decided that I didn’t like the clues that it generated and switched to a different word (3 vowels, 2 consonants) on Saturday... so far it has been a 4, a 3, and another 4 today...

I managed about an hour, maybe an hour and 20 minutes, and though I wasn’t excited about getting up, I have to take my next round of pills and hang up the dainties. Then the bed has to be made from scratch, and that should be the end of the chores for one more Monday.
Wednesday is my epidural, and I’m not excited. Well, I am, but only for the results, not the procedure.
