How about I got bit by an unsecured dog in my neighborhood over two months ago. There is still a large bruise on my leg and a puncture wound that just doesn’t want to heal. There was a $350 urgent care trip initially, because the bleeding would not stop.
That a good enough reason to dislike dogs and to have a healthy disdain for their owners?
Not really.

A similar situation, that didn’t end in a bite, is why I’ve started carrying a .357 revolver on my exercise walks
I know your feeling.
We have some “bad” dogs on our street. They bark, growl, get loose and prowl the neighborhood. Recently, they suddenly ran out of their yard barking and growling, and chased a terrified little girl into the street, where she was very nearly hit by a car.
The man of the house couldn’t care less. The woman of the house will justify it by “they’re just playin’” and “they’re really sweet!”
Those dogs are already damaged goods - but their owners even more so.
So file a $50,000 lawsuit against the dog owner. That’s what I would do. People who don’t secure their dogs deserve it. I’m a dog owner by the way.
“That a good enough reason to dislike dogs and to have a healthy disdain for their owners?”
Nope. If that were the logic then you would probably hate everything associated with your life experiences.
Go buy some colloidal silver and deal with your injury, you’ll be alright.
Not that long ago, dogs were never secured. They however were trained.
What did you do to piss off the dog?
This is about the law. In short, the first person responsible for what their dog does is the animal owner. Each state has its own laws or case law for when that responsibility comes into play. Some states have dog bite statutes signed into law, while others use a negligence standard.
Leftists get emotional and detest the Rule of Law. Patriots usually are in the side of history and tradition.
The same mindset that scoffs at your blaming the dog and its owner, is the same mindset that cheers on looting and victim-shaming.
Welcome to post-2020 America.
There’s laws against unsecured dogs in every town I know of. Were the cops called? A police report filed? If not, take it as a learning experience, eat your expenses and sue your neighbor. I deliver mail and I’ve been bitten once by a “ new” dog I didn’t know, who wasn’t even in his yard. Filed a police report and everything was paid for by the owner. But it’s no reason to hate all dogs.
They’re like a lot of people here on Freerepublic.

I love dogs, but I also carry a small baseball bat with me when biking around my rural area. Haven’t had to kill one yet. They see that bat and me getting ready to swing it and they back off pronto.
No
I’ve had to fight for my life against groups of blacks
Where I’m from everyone knows a woman usually blonde raped by one or several of them or someone who’s had home invasions or car jacking by them
They vote stupid and are easily misled by hucksters who talk good and that has made them pivotal to urban precincts in purple states where they are crucial to the left stealing elections with fraud and mail in stuffing
Every city they control is corrupt and dangerous
They rarely raise their kids any more
Their cultural impact has been generally corrosive and then some
But do I hate all of them?
No I make exceptions for those who are decent
You could apply that here
