Tucker on Radio?
Posted on 05/02/2023 4:31:24 AM PDT by dasboot
Mr. Tucker Carlson:
Please consider radio for your next venture. Rush is gone, and I think you can match or exceed his enterprise. Please consider, if not already considered.
I hope this reaches you somehow.

He can have Bongino’s spot. Dan’s heart and patriotism are in the right place, and Dan is a good man, but he’s just too immature to host a radio show. I can’t listen to it.

How does that actually work or pan out in real life, with nationally-known media hosts? Is there historical precedent for these types such as Tucker being silenced by being kept under contract for no work and paid? Or are these things negotiated by lawyers to sever the contracts and allow talent to resume new gigs?

Car and truck drivers are a huge audience, I think.
How many truck drivers are there, and how many would be listening at the time of Tucker's broadcast? I'm assuming that, that audience might not be more than a few thousand, at best, 50,000 or so?
Listeners in cars would be perhaps t 1-6 million, but then, not for the whole show/broadcast. People deliberately tuned in to Rush at noon. How many would do so for Trucker, especially if they could tune in for the TV show? Rush did not have a TV show.

I would like to see Tucker interact with callers. He would own AM radio.

How great if the radio and video internet broadcasts with him at his desk could be simultaneous or have same day staggered delivery and on-demand replays.Exactly, studio talk show with some interviews and callers from 12-3pm AND stream it on twitter live.

The judicial system is owned by the Left.
The billion dollar Alex Jones judgement was perpetrated by a Lefty judge who did not allow him to have a jury trial in the judgement phase, threatened him with prison if he presented a defense and “deemed” him guilty. The jury trial was to determine how much he owed, and the judge told them Jones had billions when he didn’t.
The FOX/Dominion trial went the same exact way, which is why FOX settled.
Jones will eventually win the appeal of the kangaroo court judgement, but it will take years to wind its way through the courts.
All by design.

Besides, his trademark wtf are you talking about look wouldn't come across in radio.
It even works for this thread.
Radio?
In reality, both could be done and it is already being done. Charlie Kirk and others' shows can be watched but are also on the radio. Not sure how his cackle laugh would work as audio only though.

Big difference between 3 hours of radio and 1 hour of tv
I don't know about that, by the time you took out all the breaks for ads, bumper music and station breaks Rush didn't do much more than an hour

Imus used to broadcast in both video and audio.. it was nice.
They are trying to kill AM radio though... But FM will still work. I used to listen to Rush on FM.

You are correct. It must be TV. In fact, the car companies are not going to be including AM radios on the cars anymore. They rats have not been able to have a single successful radio guy but as we see it has not mattered

Charlie Kirk and others' shows can be watched but are also on the radio.
No doubt that talk show hosts can work on both mediums. but, not all are the equivalent of a Rush or a Tucker or even a Hannity.
Tucker is better for TV, but a radio show could also work. But, TV is where he belongs the most, since, TV hosts can reach all audiences because of how much they're quoted by others, including the competing networks. Tucker could easily reach 100 million viewers and listeners, but TV is the prime target for him.

Yes I only listen to podcast due to ads. Mark Levins three hours show is 1:58 that is 1/3 of the time for ads. Still 2 hours is a lot more work/talk than 30/40 minutes.
