Tucker on Radio?

Posted on 05/02/2023 4:31:24 AM PDT by dasboot

Mr. Tucker Carlson:

Please consider radio for your next venture. Rush is gone, and I think you can match or exceed his enterprise. Please consider, if not already considered.

I hope this reaches you somehow.

Revive the EIB network. Where’s Snerdley?

That’s an excellent idea. How great if the radio and video internet broadcasts with him at his desk could be simultaneous or have same day staggered delivery and on-demand replays.

He needs to be on TV.

TV is what the democrats fear the most. Radio is fine, but, there won’t be another Rush. Perhaps Tucker can do both and reach more people, but TV is where the action that democrats fear and visibility makes for more popularity. TV is in every person’s living room and bedroom, while radio is only for those driving at the time of a broadcast.

Radio would be great but I think his future is in digital media, he would own 100% of his content and have more time to go Indepth on topics and with guests.

Throw in Substack and the combination of the two in terms of money would dwarf what he was making on Fox News.

Look for a Joe Rogan type format, guests and topics of his choosing, he’s already got the studio and production team.

I always thought Tucker would be the best person to carry on Rush Limbaugh’s legacy. “ Chatsworth Osbourne”.

Car and truck drivers are a huge audience, I think.

Mark Steyn would have been my choice.

Yup. A Tucker radio show in Rush’s old time slot would be great. The EIB Network’s current hosts are plain awful.

I think his early on bow tie gave Rush the Chatsworth Osborn idea.

I wonder if Limbaugh had a plan for a successor. And, if so, what happened to the plan.

I don’t think it’s a coinkydink that syndicators and broadcasters have no interest in conservative talk radio, that car companies are talking about getting rid of AM radio in vehicles.

Looks like Deep State has solved its AM radio problem.

The internet will be next.

We’d better have a plan for that.

“He needs to be on TV.”
Agreed, his intelligence and mannerisms are part of the package.

If you want to reach suburban women, get on radio. They are in their cars all day. I can’t remember how many neighbors I visited who listened to Rush all afternoon. My 86 year old aunt wouldn’t answer the phone if Rush was on.My 87 year old mother just asked if I had a spare radio I could give her.people feel lonely and a radio is comforting.

Rush and Tucker used different approaches.

Rush was a voracious consumer of current events. He printed stories he thought interesting, put them all in his "stack of stuff" and went live at noon Eastern time. No script. No producer.

Tucker does a lot of investigative research and writes his own monolog.

Here is Tucker essentially accusing the CIA of assassinating JFK and removing Richard Nixon:

Tucker Carlson on Nixon Resignation, JFK Assassination

I was shocked when I saw this.

My two cents is Tucker got sacked to prevent him from doing similar work on subjects he could not cover at Fox News.

Rush's format would not lend itself to this type of in depth reporting.

He'd never equal Rush but he'd be damn good. The question is...how would he do it? Noon to 3PM is Rush's “successors”...400+ stations IIRC. Three to six is Hannity...many stations. After 6PM nobody listens to talk radio. And nobody listens to nationwide talk radio in the morning...only local stuff.

FOX did not fire Tucker. They took away his show.

He is still under contract for eighteen more months and they are going to hold him to it to silence him.
